Slow response time to any input. Locks up all of the time. The unit I purchased before this model said it came with free map updates. I have waited a year for one to be available from their website and it is $69.99! This company is horrible to deal...

Simple to understand. Inexpensive

Money better spent elsewhere

Nextar's technical support people need to go through some customer relations classes. They like to fuss with their customers, instead of empathize.

The specs on the unit look fantastic

This is the 2nd unit I've received from newegg. And the 2nd unit that is faulty straight out of the box. This second unit won't save any settings. The first unit was DOA. So, a unit starting at $60.00 is now costing me $90.00 when I now have to factor...

So far so good

have not tried out the MP3 player... but that is not what i bought it for.. it is a GPS...

screen is very responsive to touch. volume at 1/2 level is loud enough to hear at highway speeds in a working mans vehicle. Fairly quick to remap route to get you back on track when you make a wrong exit....IE in the Mix Master in Dallas

maps are from 2005 and there appears to be NO update for the maps on company website

GO AHEAD GET U ONE

Other reviews complain about no updates, but, WHO CARES! How many of you know where a new road is? This thing rocks for 60 bucks! Besides, with a multi trillion dollar defecit this country can't afford new roads. Heck, they can't even keep up the ones...

evaluate & compare carefully

probably would be a nice lil' unit if there was any support at all. Also read that Nextar will not be marketing anything anymore and will leave only one office active for "support" (..."support? ...what "support"). I love Newegg but I do not like this...

low price

appears to be same discontinued Nextar units I bought last Christmas for two granddaughters - maps were/are outdated, updates and support appears to be nonexistent, and their website locks up even when you try to register - did it in December, March...
