No updates available unless you pay $70

I bought this 12/07, used it as needed (not a whole lot) and it just died on me-9/10! Shouldn't happen that quickly for the amount of money it cosst.

Lanes/turns are good. If you go off course (when you know part of the waay) it will adjust directions but sometimes she nags for awhile first

Computer voice mispronounces street names & has a lisp!! Unable to update maps. GPS recognition is slow during startup sometimes as much as 5 minutes

Nextar X3-02 GPS receiver

It is inexcusable for Nextar to not offer upgrade--free or at a cost--for its GPS units. This unit's "points of interest" will point you to a restaurant or other location that's been closed for a year or longer. That makes it useless. Spend a little...

Point to point driving instructions are okay. I have not had volume problems some Nextar users complain about. Unit sells a low price. (Got mine for $130 at TigerDirect.com)

Once you start using a GPS (this was my first) you want the "points of interest" function to be current. This one was issued in June '07 and is hopelessly out of date as of 10/08 as I write. Useless for finding restaurants, etc

Not very good for directions and is not current

I have been initially using this unit to give me directions to known locations, On one of these it would have sent me 1.5 miles past the location.

Seemed to be relatively easy to use

Directions are faulty and information is way out of date. Many restaurants listed in my area are closed with one being out of business for at least 8 years

Didn't work right out of the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't buy one of these. Their failure to stand behind their product is so bad, they offer on their website to upgrade your unit. The catch is that after paying several hundred dollars for the first unit, you can upgrade your faulty unit to a "upgraded"...

I don't like anything about this product, as it failed right out of the box! I plugged in the charger, everything looked fine, and then I got this scrolling, top to bottom bad image like an old TV set. Then the damn thing shut off

(see above) I had to register my NEW non-working unit, then I have to pay to ship it back to them and they will send out a "refurb" according to the tech I talked to. Real nice. Buy new from us, and if it doesn't work, we will send you refurbished

Nextar x3-08

I bought this gps from kohls in November 2007 and up till date (Sept'09) I have returned it twice.  The GPS stopped for whatever reason and when i try to call the customer service no one pick or return my call.  I will not recommend this product.

Nice in the beginning...give it 3 months

Bad product after 3 months.  It usually stopped working.  I have tried it twice

Nextar GPS Products Are Fair At Best

If you can get a Nextar GPS at Kohl's for about $50, it is worth the money.

It is cheap

It is cheap. I would not buy again. Registartion Webserver sucks

For the Price, its a good product

For the price ($79.99) plus $20.00 Kohls money (makes it $59.99 after the manufacturers rebate), its a great buy.  Appears to be accurate although it does "freeze up" if the temp in the car is freezing, but once the heater warms you up, it works fine. ...

inexpensive and worth the price when rebated and on sale

Nextar needs to offer new maps that are current
