Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

Nokia has made a decent first attempt at offering a personal navigation device but the product is marred by the lack of Bluetooth, and is outdone by its better equipped and similarly priced rivals.

512MB external memory plus 256MB internal flash, Small size, Excellent maps

Lacks Bluetooth, No text-to-speech function, Slow route-calculation

Nokia 330 GPS Auto Navigation Unit Review

Nokia are taking GPS capabilities seriously and have GPS enabled mobile phones such as the N95 and Nokia 6110. However, it is not as widely known that they have the Nokia 330, a dedicated car or personal navigation system (no phone capabilities). It's...

Nokia 330: Satellite Navigation Tablet

It's not a phone.. but that's not the only surprise that the Nokia 330 Satellite Navigation system has. Nokia purists may be in for a shock when they find out what lies beneath the 330's sleek surface.

Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

The GPS navigation market is hotting up, with many companies keen to get a slice of the pie. Finnish mobile phone giants Nokia are just one of them, r...

Good screen, simple and easy to read maps, decent navigational performance

Search method, on-screen keyboard, no included AC charger, can't charge via mini-USB, no red light or speed camera alerts

The 330 Auto Navigation is Nokia's first stand-alone GPS. The result is a solid, but not outstanding unit that is let down by an impractical address search method.

Nokia 330 Auto Navigation review: Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

The Nokia 330 Auto Navigation features a compact design and bright touch screen. The system offers text- and voice-guided directions and some multimedia extras.

The voice-guided directions aren't as precise as competing products, and the map interface can be a bit confusing. The system also doesn't support text-to-speech functionality.

Debuting as the company's first in-car GPS device, the Nokia 330 Auto Navigation system is just average and lags behind the competition in terms of voice directions and ease of use.

Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

Nokia has made a decent first attempt at offering a personal navigation device but the product is marred by the lack of Bluetooth, and is outdone by its better equipped and similarly priced rivals.

512MB external memory plus 256MB internal flash ; Small size ; Excellent maps

Lacks Bluetooth ; No text-to-speech function ; Slow route-calculation

Nokia needed to do something special with the 330 to make a significant impact in the portable GPS market and not simply rely on its name alone. Priced similarly to several better equipped rivals, the 330 Auto Navigation doesn't offer anything out of...

The software that comes with it isn't that great, there's a lot of flaws in route 66 that could be improved. I have also put igo8 on the nokia gps. For anyone wondering how to go about this, the process is not overly complicated, and its worth it. igo8...

Not too expensive ; Touch screen - no stylus

Screen is a little small ; side buttons no longer work with igo software
