do not waste your money

I have had the PC Miler Navigator for a year been on the phone with tech support 3 times. once for no g.p.s signal another time it keep shutting down on me and last but not least will plan a route this time the wanted to send me a new s d card for $50.00 and it might be as little as 3 days or as much as 3 weeks. I guess I now know what PC means Piece of Cr** for miles

Best ROUTING features on the market and not much else

As a driver, the most important feature of any GPS that proports to be truck-specific, is the routing engine of the device. This is afterall, why we should be interested in the devices out there. And as far as that goes, the 540 and her sisters the 440...

Pratical routing and a visual display of the route BEFORE it's entered as a route-this and the ability to have full control over stops and waypoints (50 per route) make it and it's sisters the 440 and 740 the best truck-specific ROUTING GPS

The POI and ALERTS could use a lot of help. Truck specific POIs do not show in thier own regard but under one general icon, making it neccesary to scroll the list to see what's up and comming

Biggest support disappointment of any software co.

Wouldn't call it a pro, but they have the niche on mileage for transportation which just adds to the fury

First and foremost, they are VERY PROUD of their licensing fees. They'll charge you a license for anything that touches one of their library files. Im a systems engineer for a large transportation company, and have used PCMiler for years. Our last upgrade

PC MILLER GPS 540 Customer Support is very poor.

I boought this product with new map 2010. The map data never works. I bought another map data has same problem. I called cusotmer suppot, they never solve my problem, they collect INFO from me that it. Even though I request to speak to there...

I did not like any thing about this product

Customer support is very bad. I find they support them self not customer. Each time I call they solve there problem as useing me, but they never solve my problem

Like most others......

After having either owned or used 3 other companies' units I have to grade this one "middle of the road". It works fine, rarely locks up and seems to show current position well. It also recalculates very quickly.
