Pharos Drive GPS 150 Navigator

While the screen of this Pharos is quite small, the voice directions (including turn-by-turn prompts and pronounced street names) were very clear and easy to follow. However, because of the petite screen size (3.5 inches), it was not very easy to type...

For the Money a decent product

Overall the system works well for the money.

Inexpensive, compact, and screen is crystal clear

Takes a while to acquire a GPS signal. Volume is either loud or soft, no in between

Decent purchase

My son's Christmas present. He seems to enjoy it

My son says it has some problems out where we live, but there's a lot of woods out here and other interference out here. Works fine in built up areas

Out Dated Maps

You get what you pay for. Even though this was only $60 less than a Garmin when it first came out, it is $600 not as good a known good name brands.

Nice interface, great price, and sold by major online retailers like Newegg and Dell

Maps are outdated and seemingly no way to update them via their limited lackluster website. Volume control is either high or low. Slider will not stay in middle section

Good GPS

This would make the perfect present for someone needing their first GPS. The directions are clear, the product is solid, and aside from the small bugs listed in "cons," it is a reliable system. All issues I have had were easily resolved by pressing the...

Value. This is a great GPS for anyone who needs a GPS with none of the extras. You can easily see side streets, and the text-to-speech is good enough in high density areas to let you know which turn is yours. Directions and routes given are acceptable.

Freezes- the processor is slow. When processing information, if you turn the device off, it can sometimes cause the device to not come back on. To fix this, just hit the reset button with your pen.

Poor customer service

Not recommended because of the poor customer service...

It works fine after pharos giving me the runaround...

took about 3 month for pharos fix it, it did not work properly, would not lock on the satellite signal. The support phone line was busy, they would put me on hold for 30min, than disconnect.

Bargin for the Money

Great Gift for Birthdays and Christmas

Simple to use, I travel a great deal for my job and it has been a great resource tool for making my travels easier

The unit freezes up when you have the volume turned all the way to off. If you will set the volume a bit over the minimum, it will work just fine. Customer Support was great in helping me solve this little glitch in the unit
