Inexpensive, but I've had better GPS

You DO get a free map update with this refurb unit. As mentioned in other reviews. 1.) Hook up XL330s to PC, have it install the TomTom software. 2.) Choose "UPDATE & INSTALL". Let it do it's thing. It will say map update has EXPIRED. 3.) Unplug the...

Responsive touch screen. Map Share. 4.3" screen at this price. Free Map Update (but what a hassle)

NO MAPS FOUND after map update. Took me several hours to get it back to working condition. VERY SLOW USB speed to PC. I'm talking 1.0 speed. Hardly ANY memory available from the factory (21mb of free space left). Menu navigation is a pain. Some options...

I love TomTom...

No GPS is perfect, but I have always had great luck with TomToms. This is my second one and it works great and a lot faster than my old one ; The windshield mount is way better than my old one as well

Register first, then update is available

Excellent shipping as always. Newegg rocks! Go it for $90, but missed out on a $20/30 rebate a few days later.

I've only just opened it, so this review is limited to the map updates. I registered as a new user and, then pluged in the unit to the computer. Updated all the software and signed up for mapshare feature. Then when I tried to update map it indicated...

None, too soon to tell

Works depending on location

Lots of neat features. Enjoy using it

Took TomTom to Los Angeles; couldn't find Van Nuys Airport or IKEA, 2 locations that have been around for at least 20 years, maybe more. Major pain ; Mispronounces many street names, especially ones in Spanish

Recertified: TomTom XL330S 4.3" GPS Navigation with Text-to-Speech

worked right out of the box. large screen. clear voice, i had to turn it down to 60

mounting makes it lose 1 egg. hard to tell if it's attached. could be very easy to break the display snapping the gps on to the mount , but has not fell off windshield yet

Really disappointing experience.I hate being told one thing and having another thing happen.Almost as much as ordering something and getting an empty box!!

Don't know I was sent an empty box

Was told they would overnight because I was going out of town and wouldn't be there to recieve if it took longer.Guess what

Great Product - Worked perfect right out of the box

I bought the refurbished unit and it worked great and saved me 100$ off retail price.

This item worked great right out of the box. I hooked it up to my pc and downloaded homers voice and some pictures to put on it when it turns on and off. Had no problem doing either. I have used the unit twice on trips so far and it got me to all my...

The map updates are a little pricy for my taste so I have not performed the updates yet but I most likely will have to some day unfortunately

Good value - Loud - Worth every Penny

Newegg offered a great deal on a dashboard beanbag mount for just a little more (take it!) - cause the default one is terrible! I'd give this product a 5egg if the mount wasn't so terrible. But the good news is - they offer custom mounts based on...

a lot of bells and whistles.... custom voices - constant FREE map updates (must join TomTom cummunity). Turn by turn is clearer and warns you SOONER than Garmin. Doesn't freeze, or have unexplained problems like 3 of my Garmin units did. Has many...

Suction Cup! - Boy is it junk. My old Garmin Street pilot suction worked perfectly - but this one had this spin-on-lock thing that frankly doesn't work. shouldn't make some of the best voices cost money - and should have more variety to the...

Awesome inexpensive GPS

The CNET review for it is pretty good and those editors are known to be really harsh reviewers. Check it out and see the editors' as well as customer reviews on the product.

1. Well first off this GPS is actually worth a lot more than it is here. Somewhere in the 160-200 dollar range. So getting it for 100 dollars is a steal ; 2. It has navigation features common to all good GPSs: navigate to address, favorite, POI, home ;...

Well the only con I have found so far is that since this is a recertified/refurbished product, there is a slight chance you might not be eligible for a free map update by tomtom. I was one of the unlucky ones. If you are lucky though, within 30 days of...
