Awesome Gift for my Outdoorsy boyfriend!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and he LOVED it! We took it on vacation with us up to the White Mountains in NH, and I was suprised that we got GREAT GPS signal halfway up Mt. Washington in a BLIZZARD! He's so excited to use it...

Great Little GPS

This is a lite wieght unit that I'm still learning how to use it. The machine is very knowlegdable on where to go for that small to-go trip.

Overall for the price the FORETREX 201 is a superior GPS and even works great sitting on the dash of my truck while driving.

Unit is very lightweight, accurate and easy to read. I use on my inflatable and works great for finding locations on maps ext. easy to switch between screens and mark waypoints.

Adding text and numbers to the waypoints takes a little getting used to and the wrist strap barely fits around my wrist - there is a extension but the built in one should be at least a little adjustable.

Exactly what I wanted

Wanted something simple to track how far I walk/jog on various residential streets around my house. This is perfect! Strong GPS signal (although it doesn't work indoors, so can't use for tracking indoor distance - i.e. walking around house, mall). I...

Just the thing for bike rides

I have used the Forerunner 301 for some time to record my bike rides. I use the Auto Lap function (Training Assistant menu) frequently. Marking waypoints is rather slow. Getting there from "time of day" requires a minimum of 5 keystrokes. The heart...

Combination of pedometer/cyclometer and heart rate just the thing for outdoor workouts

Heart rate monitor sometimes loses signal

Great little gps

I bought this with the intention of using it for play, and actually used it for work. This little GPS works great and tracks sattelites a lot quicker than the older GPS that I had owned previously. Very user friendly, and I'd definately recommend it...

Garmin 201: Don't Leave Home Without It!

Let me start by saying, I'm not one for gadgets. I'm not good at them, and frankly, I don't need them. So I was not particularly excited when my husband bought me this device for my birthday. I am an avid runner, but was always happy with a pair of...

Great training tool; fairly accurate; easy to use

Loses GPS signal occasionally. Software doesn't work with Apple computers
