Works As Advertised

The pros to this SSD are simple - it works, provides solid compatibility and doesn't do any funny business or corner cutting. The OS loaded fine as did several games

This is the norm, but the SSD of course only provides 111GB of usable storage, notably less with an OS present. Estimate on the safe side and assume you'll get about 80-85GB to play with

Dumping of Mediocre Product

The only test where this SSD shows decent performance is the easy ATTO benchmark. When tested on other well respected benchmarks such as AS-SSD or CrystalDiskMark the Write speed (for saving files) is slower than a regular spinning hard drive. Looks...

Read speeds are OK for this entry-level SSD (but see below) ; They're selling these off in 2-packs and 4-packs

This is the notorius bait-and-switch V300 SSD which Kingston degraded by switching from good quality synchronous NAND memory chips (and good reviews) to a-synchronous NAND which significantly degraded performance on all incompressible data. The problem...

SSD? My 7200rpm hdd is faster

So after doing a fresh install of Windows 7 with 24gb of ddr3 ram I was surprised that it took more than a minute to boot. I rebooted a few times just to see if performance improved but it didn't. I pulled the ram and tried new pairs thinking it was a...

Got this drive in a combo deal and it was easy to install and mount

Slow as my 7200rpm hdd

Good little drive

none

Works great as a boot drive, holds enough for your OS updates and a few important programs. Fast read, fast write, all the qualities you'd want in a SSD for 1/4 the cost. if used in a SSD HDD combo works ideal

good seller, bad product

I guess my next drive will not be a Kingston brand!

At first it worked fine, much faster than the traditional disks. No apparent flaw initially

Over time, a year or so it started to cause crashes. Eventually it failed completely to be recognized by the system. Two years is too short of a lifetime even though technology advances, it's a pain to have to re-create a system from scratch because...

Kingston SV300S37A/120G

Such a worthwhile upgrade. I wish I had done it sooner, as its the most sizeable increase in performance out of anything I have purchased.

Had a great sale and got this under 50 bucks. First SSD and not disappointed at all. System boots much faster, games load much fast, everything loads faster. Perfect ssd for operating system and your most used programs

None so far. Zero issues

Great cheap SSD

This is a good, cheap, and fast SSD. It's a perfect starter SSD for people that may not have experience working with an SSD before

None yet. It's slower than the high end cards of course, but if you had the money for those you wouldn't be here

so light

I installed this in my netbook and it runs better than some laptops I have used. Only had it for a few months so we will see how well it holds up. I would recommend downloading the Kingston SSD manager from their website. It gives nice stats on the...
