TomTom GO 920 T

The TomTom GO 920 T is the company's high-end portable GPS unit, and it's loaded with features and includes maps for North America, Canada and Europe. It accepts addresses via spoken command, includes an FM transmitter to play your music through your...

Display is easy to read; lots of features; remote control

Spoken address feature is buggy; lacks iPhone support; expensive; lots of issues

It's safe to say the GO 920 T is easily the most full-featured GPS unit we've ever tested...

TomTom Go 920

When we reviewed the TomTom GO 720 back in September, the bigger and better GO 920 had been announced but wasn't yet available. Now that it's finally arrived, and after taking it for plenty of spins around the block, I can say it's a much better value...

Includes maps of Europe. Quick and responsive menus. Text-to-speech conversion. Multisegment routing. Map Share provides community-based map and POI updates

TomTom PLUS weather and traffic services don't work with Sprint or Verizon handsets. Speech recognition limited to address input

The TomTom GO 920 is a much better value than the company's previous model, the highly rated GO 720particularly if you plan on traveling to Europe. If you have a supported phone with a data plan on AT&T or T-Mobile, it's even better.

TomTom GO 920T Review

TomTom's GO 920T costs about the same as the newer GO 930, but lacks the 930's IQ Routes and Advanced Lane Guidance. However, unlike the 930, the 920T includes an RDS-TMC traffic receiver, giving you everything you need to receive live traffic...

Solid Performer. Voice Input Still Needs Work. A Better Bargain Than The GO 930.

TomTom GO 920/920T review

The really hot new features on this unit are voice commands and what TomTom calls Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT). This uses dead reckoning sensors to help keep track of your position when you lose satellite coverage (in tunnels, etc.).

TomTom GO 920 T

I'm begging anyone who will listen to never waste their money on this product. Spend a little more and get a Garmin. I was going north in the middle of Atlanta right before rush hour, and it decides it wants to turn me around and make me get on an exit...

Dont waste your money buy a cheap unit to get A to B

Works OK, gets you where you need to go

The window mount is not strong enough for the unit and continues to fall off window, the features like traffic etc dont work well at all ; The FM tuner is waste of time along with the phone calls can not hear caller

Product Specifications

The new TomTom GO 920 range offers the most-up-to-date maps of the United States and Canada and a seamless map of 41 countries in both Western and Central Europe preinstalled on the 4 GB internal memory of the device. This makes the TomTom GO 920 the personal navigation device with the most complete set of pre-installed maps available in TomTom's entire portfolio. The TomTom GO 920 range allows users to receive up-to-date traffic information via the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver or through TomTom's own subscription-based traffic service. Voice prompted address entry gives users the option to speak the address to which they want to drive. Users can simply speak the city, street name and address number they would like to travel to, and the device will automatically calculate the route. TomTom's new Enhanced Positioning Technology uses movement and gravity sensors to calculate drivers' positions when GPS signals are unavailable. TomTom GO 920 range users will have a much more continuous navigation experience as the Enhanced Positioning Technology ensures the device continues to navigate to its destination, even in circumstances where there may not be a direct line-of-sight connection to a satellite (for example, when driving in a city with tall buildings, underpasses or bridges). The TomTom GO 920 range comes with an improved Bluetooth remote control. The remote control enables drivers to operate the device safely from anywhere in the car without having to reach over to the device. TomTom GO 920 range replaces the current TomTom GO 910/510 and offers the best in navigation and performance.
