TomTom GO 930 GPS Navigator

Don't be fooled by the lofty model number on the GO 930: Despite its position on top of TomTom's automotive navigation line, it carries a relatively modest price tag of $500, which is a fraction of similar flagship products from companies like Garmin....

Accurate travel time estimates; painless Bluetooth setup; quality mount; included dock and PC software; superior build quality

Weak voice input; interface could use a visual update; tricky FM transmitter; not-always-brilliant routing

Not all of the features work exactly as expected, but for the money it's one of the best top-tier systems out there.

TomTom GO 930

The TomTom GO 930 delivered some of the best routes we found; its lack of integrated traffic service is its biggest drawback.

IQ Routes feature lets you find faster routes ; Lots of extras, including iPod controls

Doesn't include traffic receiver or service

All of those extras are nice, but they pale in comparison to the stellar IQ Routes technology. First and foremost, a GPS should get you where you want to go--and get you there quickly. The TomTom GO 930 succeeds at doing just that

TomTom Go 930

A strong GPS device with all the bells and whistles, including voice commands and advanced lane guidance.

Strong voice command system, Lane Guidance system helps drivers find the correct lane, IQ Routes system to avoid high-traffic areas, Bluetooth

FM transmitter produced static, Remote control doesn't attach to steering wheel

Connecting the Go 930 to a Bluetooth phone is simple, and doing so lets you answer calls hands-free, place calls with just a tap, and quickly contact emergency services, if needed. The Go 930 also includes an FM transmitter (although a static-filled...

TomTom GO 930 GPS

When it comes to in-car GPS, TomTom has always been of the philosophy that its products should be about navigation first. The company doesn't spend much time fussing over extras like multimedia, but rather focuses energy on navigation tools that will...

The TomTom GO 930 offers address entry via voice as well as lane assistance and 3D renderings of complex intersections. The portable navigation system also has optimized route calculation based on historical traffic data; text-to-speech functionality;...

The voice command feature on the GO 930 isn't the most accurate, and often it's just easier to enter addresses using the onscreen keyboard. The lane guidance feature is only available for major highways and not all roadways. There's also no dashboard...

If you're looking for a high-end in-car GPS with the latest features, the TomTom GO 930 delivers with accurate directions and new navigation tools like advanced lane guidance and voice address entry.

TomTom GO 930 gets reviewed

The fine folks at GPS review have gotten their hands on the new TomTom GO 930, a followup to the GO 720 -- TomTom's previous flagship device. As far as looks go, the 930 is pretty much a 720 in shiny black clothing, so the review concentrates on ...

Lots of Features and Decent Performance. Lackluster Voice Recognition, and TomTom's Map Screen Needs Updating.

TomTom GO 930 GPS

Although the current trend for GPS devices in making them all-in-one entertainment centers may lessen their navigational abilities, this is not the case with TomTom. The TomTom GO 930 GPS continues to perpetuate the manufacturer's philosophy that a GPS...

If you have a family or intend to share your GPS with others, the 930's size is small and favorable for easy transport between vehicles. The 930 measures 3.3 inches tall by 4.7 inches wide by 1 inch thick. It weighs in at 7.7 ounces. While small, the...

Review: TomTom GO 930 GPS with Traffic Receiver

Each year new GPS devices come out and each year the companies that make them add features that they think you need. About two years ago I reviewed the TomTom 910, which was a capable GPS. Now it is time to see if the 930 is worth an upgrade.
