TomTom Runner & Multisport GPS Watch In-Depth Review

With that, I'm looking forward to seeing how the unit matures over the coming months. Ultimately, more competition in the GPS running watch space is ideal – but more competition in the GPS multisport device is what we really need. Hopefully TomTom can...

Simple & Clean interface; Incredibly awesome satellite connectivity speeds; Tracks distance and pace well; Contains Bluetooth Smart support; Indoor pool swim at low-cost

No ANT+ support, means new purchase of accessories for most; Bluetooth Smart connection not used for phone connectivity; Website is pretty slim right now; No openwater swim support; No multisport mode for triathlons/races

TomTom Multi-Sport GPS watch

An GPS watch that's suitable for novice runners and bikers to marathoners and triathletes alike

Single button for easy menu navigation ; Watch face & button slip out of band as one unit ; Price comparable to other entry-level GPS watches

Battery life could be improved ; Heart rate monitor is an extra cost

The TomTom Multi-Sport is reliable, durable GPS watch suited for runners, swimmers and cyclists of all levels. We feel it's on par with other entry-level models for a similar price.

TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch review

TomTom has always been about getting from A to B in the fastest, simplest way. So the announcement that it would be focusing more on the space in between those points was a surprise to many, despite the fact that TomTom's mapping system makes its GPS...

Lightweight design ; Nice big screen ; Plenty of features in the Multi-Sport model

A bit plasticky ; Monochrome screen ; Fingerprint magnet

Given the physical restrictions of the TomTom venue (and a desire to retain some of our dignity) we weren't able to run around with the watch and give it a proper spin as we'd have liked to. But we certainly liked most of what we saw. The...

TomTom Multi-Sport review

What is the TomTom Multi-Sport?The TomTom Multi-Sport is TomTom's latest watch aimed at tracking your exercise activities, but with a broader remit than the TomTom Runner we looked at a couple of months ago. If you like to mix up your sporting...

Great design and one-button usability ; Tracks three types of sport in one device ; Much cheaper than three separate devices

Swimming function needs work ; Doesn't support ANT+ peripherals

TomTom's Multi-Sport is great for runners and bikers, but needs a firmware update before it can accurately track your swimming as well.

TomTom Multi-Sport GPS watch review

The TomTom Multi-Sport GPS watch is an attractive piece of kit, and like the other models in the range, it is unique in two ways.

The TomTom Multi-Sport is reliable, durable GPS watch suited for runners, swimmers and cyclists of all levels. We feel it's on par with other entry-level models for a similar price.

Best GPS unit on the market!

I am a competitive triathlete logging 20-30 hours of activity a week, and was a former D1 track athlete. I've been a heavy user of GPS watches for about 6 years and have experienced them all. Starting out with a Garmin Forerunner, I couldn't wait for...
