TomTom Rider 2nd Edition

It's increasingly common to see GPS devices clinging to suction cups on car windshields, but what about drivers who prefer two wheels to four? Motorcyclists need direction, too. Enter TomTom's Rider 2nd edition, which incorporates a bike-friendly...

Bundles a bike-mounting bracket and Bluetooth helmet speaker/mic. Waterproof. User-configurable screen. Extended battery life. Excellent language support. Multisegment routing

No text-to-speech support. Lacks live traffic updates

If you prefer two wheels to four, TomTom's Rider 2nd edition motorcycle GPS has all you need to find your way on the open road.

TomTom RIDER (2nd Edition)

Rugged and durable design, clear LCD display, improved audio, Cardo scala-rider Bluetooth headset

Interface ill-suited to thick riding gloves, power button occasionally unresponsive

The RIDER 2nd edition offers several significant improvements over its pioneering predecessor, including a superior headset and bike mount. While a few flaws remain, it has managed to avoid most of the key obstacles that hamper other units.

Only months after the first - Rider 1.0 owners will be pleased.

To be fair DON'T BUY it the $ too much 4 what you get!

My friend uses an obsolete old GPS, covered with a clear plastic bag, that out performs the TOM TOM Rider2. No way has this been designed by bikers for bikers (they'd have shot it) I know I have been riding for 35 yrs.

build quality is good, RAM mount is very good, nice at night when it works, interfaces with other bluetooth gear surprisingly easily

not intuative, lots of annoying software bugs, very STUPID "Drive Mode", ripped off due to mrkting savey, not safe when it wants you to exit a high hwy that has a gradual right turn and put you back at that location to save you 300 feet of distance

Tom Tom Great!

It does what it is suppose to do.

I'm not sure why a lot of people dislike this Tom Tom Rider 2. It does what it suppose to do and has a whole pile of features! I bought mine on ebay, way cheaper

Tom Tom seams not to be supporting this one any more. Not supporting motorcyclists

Think Before you Purchase this product

Do not purchase it without having the opportunity to see it in action. At this point in time the retailed I purchased the unit from will not issue a refund. I knew that was the store policy however the reviews I read indicated the scream was easy to...

Functions exactly as the manual states, Solid unit, Looks like it is built well

You can not and I emphasize CAN NOT see the screen in the day time. NO matter what position I place the GPS you can not see it

Awful device_Stay Clear

This unit is one of the worst I've dealt with.

Waterproof, that's it

Bulky, Bluetooth connection to phone and headset patchy, mount disintergrated, virtual non-compatability with other headsets and very limited phones. Terrible Customer Service

Good Product; important features lacking...

Just completed 4,600 mile cross country trip. Wished I had done better homework before buying "TT2".

Very rapid response - quickly locks in on signal. Touch screen works very well, even with gloves. Price. Mounting system works well. Rugged. Bluetooth instructions to Cardo headset works well

1. No internal speaker; have to buy car mount to get speaker. 2. No Text to Speech (no excuse on an expensive unit). 3. No ability to determine altitude. 4. Very limited number of compatible bluetooth phones

Awful customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy a road map instead of a TomTom.

The best thing about this piece of junk was when I smashed it against the wall

Rider 2 died after 6 months, could not load maps. TomTom would not repair and ignored my problem after they couldn't fix it even though it was in warrenty period
