TomTom VIA 135 review

The TomTom Via 135 may not be the most exciting satnav around but the no-nonsense gadget proves that the brand knows what it's doing

Low, low price ; TomTom's maps and routes ; Five-inch proportions

Resistive touch tech ; Short on features ; No connected features

This is a straight forward navigation device without fancy features. But it's reasonably priced and it gets the job done with a minimum of fuss. If it's pure navigation without the frills, you can't go wrong with a TomTom.

NOT ALL I'D HOPED FOR :(

Decided that my old satnav was becoming a liability due to out of date maps and the cost to update them. So seeing a good offer on QVC of all places I took the plunge for the VIA 130. Whilst it is definitely more feature laden than my old Navman F20 it...

Better than expected

Bought, in spite of mixed reviews, as a replacement. Great improvement, with flashing arrows to help get in right lane at roundabouts/junctions and naming of roads as you turn into them. But don't throw away mapbook and be quick to back your judgement...

My model failed after about 10 uses, when the power system / battery has failed. It also does not work correctly with the RDS TMS receiver, getting intermittent connection. Sent back for repair, not a happy bunny

Just bought this from Amazon and am very impressed with the new toy.Had very little trouble registering the product for guarantee and the Life Time free maps.Downloading software a bit slow but they warn you particularly if you use the wifi best use...
