When it comes to sat-nav in the UK, TomTom is the market leader, offering more devices at a wider range of price points than just about any other company. The XL Traffic Europe 22 is aimed at the mid-range market, hence the £150 price tag.

TomTom has a reputation for making excellent sat-navs and the latest XL model - with its new mount - is no exception.

Initial prices look a little dear, even though they're a lot lower than the x30 range at around £180 for the basic UK version, but don't let that fool you. As soon as these start to appear on the market in significant numbers, the prices will drop and...
