GREAT PRODUCT

touch screen works exellent and finds directions in seconds, if u are looking for something that takes u wherever u want, just get this one. U will love it.

Exellent product, it does everything you need on the road, very nice options for night view and day, large enough screen, it plays mp3 songs, videos and pictures, I cant ask for more to this thing, great price

the only thing is that Im not 100% happy with the size of the screen when u play videos it doesn play full screen, or maybe it does but I dont find out how, but pictures and music rocks

OK, but over priced

If you just need a basic GPS and feel like listening to mp3 files once and awhile, it is a great product though can be had for 45buck& less at the stapleronline with free ship. Didn't find that out until the day mine arrived from newegg and I had...

Great unit for what it is. Finds things fairly well will few problems. For the most part, it will get you where you need to go just as well as any high priced unit ; It will accept a 4gb Transcend SD150 card, not the HD model though so be careful when...

Interface can be a bit of a bear to get comfortable with and the views of your route look a bit funky, but not too bad. Battery life can be real short when using as an mp3 player and I have yet to find a video file that will play in it but all I have...

Worth the$ over more expensive "name" units!

No need to spend a ton of money on those name brand units. This does the job as well if not even better. It indeed outperforms my Garmin unit in many categories. If you need a basic unit with some perks (games included!) don't think twice! I just wish...

Large touch screen with POI's and maps already loaded. Once you link up to a sattelite, the time and date set for you, no need to keep setting it when batt. runs low! The recalculating of your route is FAST! It can re-route you much faster then my...

Little plastic tab likes to come off when you take it out of the holder, it's tiny so you may have to search around the car and under mats/seats when it flies off

Great GPS

I would like the site to give more support, such as updates for the maps. I replaced the 256mb card with a 2 gb card. If you do this, be sure to format the new SD card and copy the info from the supplied card.

Great GPS. Easy to understand and operate. Really good price. Comparable to the $400 - $500 units

Ok, not perfect

As far as the basics to keep track where you are it seems too work well, and pretty easy to plot a course yourself. Going to contact V7 customer service and see if they can tell me why my POI's are so far off.

Screen is large, nice array of options, and games. Seems to be able to track location just fine as far as I have used it. Comes with USA and Canada

POI database is almost useless and is very inaccurate. Most POI on my unit are about 1/4 to 1/2 mile off where they should be. POI database is weird has some oddball small stores, yet major stores, gas stations etc, are not listed. Not sure but I think...

V7 NAV700 4.0" Portable GPS Navigation

Its a shame that the service for traffic updates costs extra, but it isn't that big a deal. Considering how much you'll save on this GPS in comparison to most of the others out there, you should have plenty left over to purchase it with. I don't know...

Compact, touch screen, comes loaded with several games, point of interest options, programmable 'home' and 'work' keys for quick reference. It functions better than a mass majority of GPS systems that I've had my hands on (at least eleven or twelve)....

I haven't come across any unless you count touch screen as a con, since it leaves smudges

Excellent!!

I may buy one for my personal vehicle- Better than my old Garmin, and better than my buddies Magellan

I work for a leading electronics retailer- They bought us all these for our work trucks, It is the best GPS I have EVER used- Excellent user input- great color display- easy menu's- Totally excellent

Speaker is a bit too quiet even with volume on full

where do i turn?

As a first time GPS owner, I did not find the instructions or menu especially intuitive and I am pretty intuitive...

one of several low price options for GPS. Love the data storage and game extras

Previous reviewer was correct. When I took it from the city to the burbs, it failed to tell me where to turn soon enough on several occasions. When several exits/turns are within say 400 or less feet of eachother, it doesn't tell you precisely enough...

Find your way to a Nav700

This is my second portable Nav system. This one stays locked on when it decides which Sats to use. Normally it locks on to 3 or 4 of the twenty it finds. The commands are clear, and the maps are upgradeable down the road.

Nice big display and a loud audio output. No need to turn your radio off to hear this unit working. After the first time out of the box Sat linkup, start up time is less than a minute. You have a choice of what info you want displayed on your routes

Manual on CD, not useful if you need to read it in your car. Adding favorite locations not straight forward. Cannot change display options while you are in active navigation mode
