HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO Graphics Card

By Shane Baxtor (tweaktown.com)

ATI pricing has become very aggressive over the past few months. We see how the HD 4870 IceQ4+ TURBO is looking amongst the competition. Introduction

While the green strobe light is set to high, we do see flickers of red between those flashes. ATI isn't dead. Do they have the fastest graphics cards on the market? No. Do they offer some excellent value for money products, though? - Yes! Speed isn't ...

HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo tested

By Sanjin Rado    (fudzilla.com)

Review: An overclocked card with IceQ 4+ cooling   T oday we remind ourselves of why Radeon HD 4870 cards are as popular as they are in the gaming community. Our weapon of choice is 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo graphics card kindly provided by HIS. We see ...

We've seen that HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo is priced at some €10 more than the non-overclocked HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+, which is about €30 more than the cheapest HD 4870 1GB (priced at about €185). GTX 260 cards are in the same price range, so choosing ...

Nice but hoy

By Gallito (newegg.com)

Why is it called ICE Q 4+. With that temperature it should be called Steam H 4.

Works great with Games a CAD utilities. Runs smooth and stable. Got 60fps on Street Fighter 4 and nice result in COD4 and GRID (lots of eyecandy)

Run kinda hot. Havent overclocked it or unlocked the card configuration. Y installed 2 more case fans to keep temperatures low. Hope it works

Pretty diesel card

By N/A (newegg.com)

Coming from a GDDR3 card, I didn't know GDDR5s got so hot. I was used to seeing 30-40 degrees C load on my old card, but this one idles at 50. You can underclock when you're not using it for gaming to reduce temps. Whenever you want to get into a game, y...

Everything looks smooth on Windows7. Plays everything I throw at it with Max settings at a good resolutions above 1280 (Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Need For Speed Shift, Resident Evil 5, Guitar Hero World Tour) ; Very happy with this investment

None so far. Gets hot, but I only need to crank the fan up to 40% during gaming. At 40%, the fan is slightly audible in an Antec 900 case

This card has filed on me twice in the period of 1-2 months, and when I say fail I mean fail!!!. First time it last one day then it just stopped working and caused a BIOS to reject it to the sounds of fail code beeps. Second time is now, a month+ later af...
