I have a 30+ year old Wahl haircutter at home and bought this for our vacation home. It is definitely not of the same quality as the old one! Blades aren't as sharp, plastic clip-on attachments are "wimpy" and it's generally not as good as the old model.

It was a fine straightner. I was hoping for titanium, but it's definitely ceramic...which i wasn't thrilled about. It works, it's just a backup for my Babyliss pro (which is actually titanium).

Ordered blond for husband, and dark brown for myself. The blond is so dry it's like a hard rock; brown is not as hard, but doesn't really color the hair. It just smudges the scalp. Can get better effects with dark eyeshadow. Going back.

They take a while to warm up and aren't very smooth when they run through your hair, however considering they are for travel and cordless, cant imagine it would be safe to style with them, eg curls, as they are gas powered.
