So instead of notifying that they did not have this in stock, they ship me something completely different. And not even a different version, something I cant even use it for. So they didn't even Compromise, they just grabbed something that said "Fire...

Cheap, Doesn't Work

 

I doubt this "magnesium" fire starter contains any magnesium at all. The bar was too hard to scrape or shave with the provided tool, and any shavings I could get (using other tools) were impossible to light. I even attempted lighting what I could get...

dont leave home without it

 

this is a must if your camping ,hunting or hikeing. puts out a good spark to start a fire for cooking or emergency

Alloy tooo hard for starter - will not burn with a gal. of gas

 

This block is way to hard for the striker / shaver attached. The striker will only get a spark about 50% of the time. This was a waste of money.

Look elsewhere

 

I tried to start a fire with this magnesium block under controlled conditions so I don't have to fumble when the real deal happens that I have to rely on this to start a fire in what might be a life saving situation. Total failure! The flint works well...
