Review for SP600 256GB SSD

I would recommend this.

I bought this 2 years ago, and (knock on wood), it's still going strong.

Solid State Drive Love

Absolutely recommend to others.

I bought one of these as my first SSD and loved it so much I bought 3 more to put into all my computers. Going from a spinning platter to a SSD drive was probably the biggest performance gain I have seen in a PC since i upgraded from a 386 to a 486...

It was not free.

Great SSD for the price

The SSD was bought to upgrade the one inside the Dell 3050, the install went without issues. I had to make a few changes in the BOIS but that was to get the 3050 to boot from my USB stick vs the onboard SSD.

- used to upgrade a 32 GB SSD in a Dell 3050, no issues - Price

- None as of yet

Fast and holding up well

I purchased the 128GB version in April of 2014 to use as my system drive. I'm a pretty heavy computer user and keep my PC running 24/7, doing a fair bit of gaming on it as well, also it's a Debian Linux desktop. The boot time is relatively quick,...

- Inexpensive MLC (2 Layer Cell) - Excellent performance - Reliable through heavy use

- Nothing really

Great product, easy to install and fast!

This product is super simple to install with incredibly fast boot times!

128GB is too small for my needs. When installing applications they still need to install substantial amounts of data to the system32 folders etc... so for my needs the device capacity is too small. I would need a 500GB min to meet my needs.

Good value for boot SSD, small form factor.

I'm using it as a boot drive while I keep steam games and other media on a NAS. This allows my PC to be very streamlined as I don't have to deal with the extra space/power connectors for a 2.5" SSD.

Speeds seem to be as advertised. CrystalDiskMark shows ~524MB/s sequential read, ~169MB/s sequential write. Random 4K reads are ~284MB/s with writes staying at ~169MB/s.

Durability/longevity unknown at this time.

tiny and fast

Working fine in my T450. I created a 32gb partition on it for express cache because my OS is still on my 2tb hdd and I use the other ~200gb as space to run VMs. Note that there are chips on both sides of this ssd if thickness is an issue for you but...

-pricier than 2.5" form factor ssds

Works great in micro-desktop.

Works great in Dell Inspiron 3050. Same physical size as the 32gb disk that came in the system--but 8 times the capacity! Was recognized by the system and Windows 10 OS installer without any BIOS changes.

Small size (42mm) makes it an easy replacement for a 32gb M.2 module. Good price for this form-factor and size.

If you are replacing a smaller disk without doing a full install of the OS and your application, you would need to figure out how to copy old disk contents onto this new one (but any M.2 disk would present the same challenge).

was great... when it worked...

Plain and simple, this drive was great when it worked, im really not gonna lie there. i was leery given the "off brand" of the drive, and had some high hopes for it, sadly i was left with a nice 2.5" dust collector in my PC as ive had to disconnect it...

Good SSD, simple install, plug and go + format. easy peasy. worked as my Steam SSD that JUST held games...

Didnt last long. not even remotely close to what i had planned. installed in july, drive was dead come end of november... i understand the risks involved in lower brand hardware, but this is just wowing for how short it lived.
