SanDisk Extreme solid-state drive

There isn't anything extreme about the SanDisk Extreme SSD. It is, rather, a standard 2.5-inch, 9.5mm-thick solid-state drive that supports SATA 3 (6Gbps). And this is a good thing since the drive can be used in any computer that currently uses a SATA...

The 2.5-inch SATA 3-based SanDisk Extreme solid-state drive offers great performance and is affordable.

The SanDisk Extreme SSD doesn't come with accessories to help it fit in a desktop computer's 3.5-inch hard-drive bay, though it can be used in one.

With very good performance and even better pricing, the SanDisk Extreme makes a great replacement drive for a standard laptop or desktop computer.

Fast Drive

New to Solid State Drives. Installed no problem, using a cloning device, Apricorn Drivewire, and software from that. Plugged it in afterwards and ran as if it had always been there, just a lot faster. I had a Hybrid Hard Drive which made the system a...

Win 7 Pro(64 bit OS)

I've been running this as a boot drive for 6 months, it is lightning fast, highly recommend. Only regret is it does not come with cloning software.

Impressed

I use one as the OS drive, the other I installed my games on. Now I wait on everyone else to join the game. LOL When I launch Word or Excel, I never see the 2010 splash screen as the program loads, just straight to the Doc or spreadsheet, instantly.

Pretty Quick

Not the fastest drive out there but it does get the job done. Great windows drive with good boot-up time. I would buy another one if i needed to.

Nice upgrade

My 3-year old Gateway EC1805 notebook used to take a minute or more to boot up. Recently I upgraded it from Windows Vista to Windows 8, and I decided to try upgrading to an SSD drive as well. I imaged the new SanDisk drive using Macrim Reflect and a...

SanDisk SSD failed after a month's usage

This is my first SanDisk SSD. I installed it in one of my desktop machines. It worked fine for about one month then it stopped while I was using the computer. Now it does not even post in the BOIS. I swapped the cable and connectors to no avail. This...
