If you don't need a lot of space, this drive is a reasonable deal. (Anything smaller is too small for a laptop.) I recommend this only if you know how to replace a drive yourself.

Replaced the slow 5400 RPM 1TB drive that came with my Laptop, the process was quick and painless (no re-configuring anything, system recognized the change of drives right away & it turned off auto defrag).Benefits were ; 1. My Toshiba Satellite L50-A...

Everything I Expected

 

doesn't come with a converter. I put this in an old LGA 775 box with SATA2 and it blows away my WD caviar black. SSD is still the wild west and you have to hope you don't get a bad one, but i say take the risk and go for it, and don't worry too much...

I researched SSDs for weeks before taking the plunge on this one. It seems to me that longevity is an issue so we shall see if this holds up like i expect, which is that the nCache system will provide both improved performance and keeping the MLC nand...

none so far ; When i ordered this i was under the impression from some reviews that the nCache was SLC, but apparently that is not true. I think a hybrid SLC/MLC drive would be great. Let's hope that the tweak they did to th MLC cache keeps it working...
