Able Planet NC1000CH Clear Harmony

Able Planet's Clear Harmony active noise-canceling headphones aim to compete with the well-known and expensive Bose Quiet Comfort series . The Clear Harmony headphones improve upon some of the design flaws of the Quiet Comfort (such as the inability to...

The Clear Harmony active noise-canceling headphones offer dramatic noise reduction and a rich listening experience.

The Clear Harmony is an expensive product, and Able Planet has yet to establish a reputation on high-end audio turf.

The Clear Harmony holds its own against the competition. But without a price incentive, few users will risk choosing an unknown brand over an established one.

Able Planet NC1000CH Headphones

At CES earlier this year, we met with Able Planet - not a company name that is on the lips of every individual, but certainly a company that has a well-known name is certain circles. Able Planet is a company that is into audio and they use a technology...

Excellent sound quality when powered ; Very good noise cancellation ; Good battery life ; Comfortable on larger heads ; In-line volume control ; Sturdy design and nice case for transportation

Mediocre audio quality when not powered ; Not for smaller heads ; Price - For $100 less the NC500SC are a better value

The Able Planet NC1000CH headphones are a step up in price and performance over the cheaper NC500 series. All sets provide noise cancellation, but the Clear Harmony headphones offer the best powered listening experience over the NC500 series hands...

"Horrible Product!!!"

If you're considering buying a pair of Ableplanet NC1000CH headphones then please do yourself a favor and get a pair from Bose or other reputable manufacturer instead. I just bought a pair of these to replace my Bose QC2s where I had worn out the...

- Nothing is good about these!

- Sound Clarity is awful

"Not worth the price tag. Satisfaction genre dependent."

Sound quality: I listen to a lot of classical music. I don't really like the fact that it adds these higher harmonics to the sound altering the timbre of the various instruments involved. I somehow lose the "authenticity" behind the music. Other than...

Nice carrying case

Poor noise cancellation performance (only works in low noise environments)

"Groupon price of $69 for $300 studio headphones!"

At a discount, this is a definite five star product, if you bought this at the $300 price, probably 4 stars.

noise cancellation, rich tones, good bass, kit for different types of inputs, and case. Comes with dedicated volume control for amplified sound

List price is a pit steep, it's not a "known" brand.

"Junk!! Not worth $5!"

Total Junk! I saved about $10 over a pair of Bose and after two trips had to send them back. The company sent me and new headphone connector but the headsets never worked again correctly. I went back to my in ear ear plugs and never looked back. Please...

They work for about a month.

After a month you will need to send them back and Able planet will send you the connectors adapter that you plug into you headphones and they will only work a few weeks longer.

"Disappointed (I also have both Bose QC15)"

I am going to return this headset. The only reasons I could imagine that this brand got good reviews are:

Comfort: The fit of the head phones is good.

The noise reduction causes a very low frequency rumble. The finish of the plastic looks cheap compared with Bose. The slide-on battery cover seems cheap.
