B&O Play Beoplay E8 hands-on review

The tiny E8 earbuds are comfortable and full of the quality one expects from B&O Play, but none of this comes cheaply.

Tiny, attractive design ; Natural, balanced sound ; High-quality build and materials ; Transparency mode increases safety ; Tight, comfortable fit

Expensive ; Middling battery life

B&O Play Beoplay E8

The wire-free B&O Play Beoplay E8 earphones deliver high-quality Bluetooth audio and an app that allows you to set your EQ preferences, but feel a bit overpriced.

Powerful audio performance with deep bass and crisp highs. App features adjustable EQ. Very secure in-ear fit. Excellent mic clarity.

Expensive. Transparency mode can be confusing before adjustments are made.

Sonically, the Beoplay E8 is capable of many sound signatures, but its baseline will please plenty of listeners. Functionally, the design fits securely and is easy to use. Generally speaking, this is a very good pair of earphones, but there is the...

B&O Beoplay E8

B&O Beoplay E8 review: The most gorgeous true wireless earphones available – and they sound great too. The AirPods have some serious competition.

Good sound ; Lovely design and build ; Good fit (if fiddly) ; Stable connection ; Decent battery life

Buggy app (optional) ; Expensive

B&O Beoplay E8 wireless earphones review

Exceptional audio meets intuitive design

Good audio quality ; Exceptional design ; Easy to setup

Can feel a bit snug

The Beoplay E8 is a tiny yet impressive piece of audio tech. While the four-hour battery life can be a bit frustrating for all-day users, it’s certainly not something we’d hold against the E8. The touch controls are responsive, and we just can’t get...

B&O Beoplay E8 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The premium B&O Beoplay E8 are the latest in the line of increasingly popular truly wireless earphones. B&O compares them to a piece of jewellery, and says their 'gem-like' and 'elegant looks' add 'a touch of luxury' to your listening. The company also...

Great potential but not the finished product

I bought these to replace Sony wired headphones used mostly with my iPhone and, sometimes, Mac and iPad. There are things about them that are fantastic, but they don't feel like tech that's fully ready yet. Pros: Beautiful sound. Clarity. Mids and...

Excellent Wireless earphones

These are a brilliant set of wireless earphones. They are expensive but the sound quality is brilliant. I wanted them for running. I was concerned that they would not be secure in my ear prior to purchase but they have been on every run. They have also...

Pricey but excellent!

Amazing sound quality, faultless Bluetooth connection and easy setup. They play very nicely with my Google Pixel 2 and Dell XPS 9360 laptop. Look great, sound great, work great.
