BeatsX review

Like 'em or hate 'em, Apple's AirPods have been the talk of the headphone world ever since they were announced alongside the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus back in September 2016. But there's another Apple wireless headphone from the company's Beats by Dre...

The BeatsX is a comfortable, lightweight, water-resistant, neckband-style Bluetooth headphone with a secure in-ear fit and good sound quality. It pairs instantly with Apple devices, rolls up to fit in an included carrying case, and charges quickly via...

Slight treble push; cords may seem a bit long for some users.

The slickly designed BeatsX is an appealing neckband-style wireless headphone that offers a lot of the "magic" of Apple's AirPods in a more conventional, sports-friendly design.

BeatsX Wireless In-Ear Headphones Review

Beats has been killing it lately. Their Powerbeats3 and Solo3 wireless headphones both earned Chip Chick Picks for being top notch wireless headphones in their respective categories. After a delay, their lightweight BeatsX in-ear headphones are finally...

Review: BeatsX are Apple's most affordable W1 wireless headphones

With BeatsX, Apple takes the best of Beats by Dre's line of minimalist earphones in-ear monitors wireless, incorporating the new W1 chip, top-notch materials and unique Flex Form neck strap into a consumer-friendly design.

Overall, BeatsX is a well-made, decent sounding earphone that works in a variety of environments. Add to that an easy pairing process and solid wireless connection thanks to Apple's W1 chip, and the package becomes even more appealing.

Beats X bring Apple’s wireless headphone tech to a tethered form factor

It's hard to say precisely what took Beats X so long to arrive. Unlike Apple's own house-branded AirPods, the company didn't really start from scratch. Sure, it's a somewhat new form factor, but the wireless earbuds don't stray all that far from the...

At $150, the Beats X are just a hair under the AirPods. In spite of the company’s big “No Strings” ad campaign, they’re ultimately not as flashy as Apple’s primary offering, lacking some of the more refined interface and noise-canceling design. They’re...

BeatsX earphones may be the cheaper, better AirPods alternative you want (hands-on)

The funky wireless AirPods got all the attention when Apple unveiled it alongside the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on September 7, but it was only part of the company's new headphones lineup. It also showcased three new wireless headphones from its Beats brand:...

Beats X review: The perfect earbuds for young cyborgs with cash to burn

The best wireless earbuds yet?

Good sound quality ; Effortless pairing with Apple products thanks to W1 chip ; Comfortable in all situations, including workouts

Fairly pricey ; Audio isn't 100% perfect ; Gross carrying pouch

Thanks to their more universal design and smooth sound, the Beats X earphones are arguably better than Apple's AirPods, but they don't come cheap.

Dead after 3 months

I have had beatsx for 3 months and all of a sudden it died on me. Would not charge, would not turn on. Feel terribly cheated by Apple. Having paid 150$ I would expect the earphones to be one of the best if not the best. I have sent mine to geek squad...

Great product for everyday use

Sound: 9/10 - Bass is great, sound is above-average compared to other Beats and high-end headphones. Cancels out background noise, but isn't officially "noise cancelling". Offers an immersive music experience. Comfort: 10/10 - Earphones fit...

Great sound, cancels out background noise, fits exceptionally well, battery life is superb, charges insanely fast.

The carrying case is awkward to use.
