Beats Solo3 Wireless

The Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones use Apple's W1 chip for easier connectivity with iOS devices and deliver a balanced Bluetooth audio experience for bass lovers, but feel a tad expensive.

Powerful, bass-forward (but balanced) audio performance. Apple W1 chip enhances experience with iOS devices. Detachable cable with inline remote for passive listening.

A bit overpriced. Headband can get uncomfortable during longer listening sessions.

Beats may be known for its massive bass, but the Solo3 Wireless, while certainly sculpted in the lows and highs, don't go over the top with their bass response. The result is a bass-forward sound signature with crisp highs and solid overall balance....

Beats Solo 3 review: decent sound, better wireless

If you want to condense Apple's 2016 down to a pithy mission statement, it's this: war on wires. Along with the traditional spec upgrades of iPhones and MacBooks, the Cupertino company this year...

Rock-solid wireless performance ; Entertaining sound, especially with modern electronic music ; Light and comfortable

Flimsy, plastic-rich construction ; Not great at handling acoustic music ; You won't get the most out of these without an iOS device

Beats Solo3 Wireless review

Beats' Solo3 Wireless on-ear Bluetooth headphone ($300/£250/AU$400) looks nearly identical to the Beats Solo 2 Wireless because -- on the outside at least -- Beats hasn't updated its design. The big change is on the inside: The Solo3 uses Apple 's new...

The Beats Solo3 Wireless is a well-built wireless headphone that sounds good in both wireless and wired modes and is relatively comfortable to wear for an on-ear headphone. Its battery life is best-in-class (40 hours) and has a remote control built-in...

It's expensive, and doesn't sound quite as good as other wireless headphones that cost $300.

Beats has taken the same headphone that so many people know and love and improved its battery life dramatically, but the price is still too high.

The newest wireless Beats on-ears sound great, but still squeeze your head and wallet

Beats Solo3 Wireless Review

Beats are back. It had been a while since we'd seen new products from Beats! Fortunately, there are a whole bunch of wireless headphones coming our way that were announced during the iPhone 7 launch. Now that Beats has been fully integrated into Apple,...

Beats Solo 3 Wireless review

Fashion-focussed cans gets smart

Excellent wireless stability ; Good Bluetooth-phone interaction ; Energetic, punchy sound

Firm headband pressure ; Lack of fidelity for price

Smart wireless headphones that make some real techy improvements, but the sound unfortunately lags behind. The Beats Solo 3 Wireless make huge improvements in some areas, and change little in others. Top on its list of achievements are class-leading...

Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones review: Bass solo

Beats has been pretty quiet of late, but with the launch of the new iPhone 7 and iOS 10 the company has released four new headphones - including an update to its popular Solo range. The Beats Solo 3 headphones offer a great music experience for a...

W1 connectivity for Apple users, big bass, long battery life, quick charge

Snug fit is a little too snug, bass can drown out detail, expensive

The Beats Solo 3 headphones offer a great music experience for a certain listener. The W1 connectivity options and huge battery life are certainly the stars of the show for the Solo 3.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless

It's time for another crack at the Beats Solo formula, which has already produced some of the most popular headphones in the world.

Clever new tech for iPhone users, but otherwise sub-par performance from these new Beats headphones.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless review

These headphones push the boundaries of wireless headphone technology, but not sound quality...

Full-bodied, bold sound ; Clear, clean midrange ; Excellent battery life and range ; Good connectivity with the iPhone 7

Lacks subtlety and detail ; Dynamically flat ; Fit is too tight ; No Lightning connector for iPhone 7

The Solo 3 Wireless boast impressive wireless technology, but lack the detail and subtlety we expect from headphones at this price
