Bose IE2

As the name implies, the Bose's IE2 earphones are the second-generation of Bose's in-ear headphones. Truth be told, we weren't impressed with the first iteration of this model, which some users complained didn't fit securely in their ears and caused...

Improved sound; earphones fit securely and comfortably; protective carrying case included; "open" design has its appeal; pleasantly full bass.

Fit may not appeal to everyone, especially those who prefer noise-isolating earphones; treble is a little on the harsh side.

While we've heard earphones that sound better for the money, Bose has improved its in-ear headphones so they fit--and sound better--than its previous in-ear model.

Bose IE2

Comfortable, surprisingly secure fit. Strong audio output with hearty bass response. Multiple eartips are bundled to ensure proper fit. Excellent value for price

Earpieces may feel odd for some. Secure fit can make for an inaccurate stereo image

These ear buds are a great buy and the new design puts them in a class all their own.

"Great for Active Lifestyle"

There are few music lovers who have not heard of the Bose brand. For the majority of us who are exposed to the Bose brand, we often hold many contrasting opinions when it comes to the value of their headphones. While Bose command a somewhat premium...

Designed for secure fit and comfort

Can be uncomfortable for some people

"Allows In Way too much outside noise. No good."

The reviews really downplay the fact that in a subway or city street you cannot hear the music at all. They could sound like a pair of $30k nautilus speakers but it wouldn't matter. The openness is way to open. Even in quiet I find the sound to be very...

Comfortable, can sound ok if you can hear them

You cannot hear them on a city street, subway or anywhere there is ambient noise.

"Great Sound, Poor Quality."

These do not last long at all before the cable frays at the ear piece. I expected more from Bose. Do not buy if you plan to use them regularly as they will not last.

Great fit and comfort

Poor quality and engineering. Last less then six months for the two pairs I purchased.

"Good sound for the price, a little short on details"

As a sound tech / worship leader / recording engineer at my church, I am always in need of a decent set of headphones that I can keep with me at all times. I bought the IE2s several months ago, and I've found myself using them in a lot of applications...

Extremely comfortable, the Bose IE2s offer good sound quality with a decent amount of bass and a slightly wider range than some other headphones of similiar price. Bose thoughtfully included three sizes of inserts that easily slip over the speakers

The headphone cable does seem somewhat flimsy and it is not long enough for my taste. Some might consider $100 a bit high for these in-ears.

"The headphones are overall good, consisted w/good sound"

If you buy them then just know to be extremely careful with them. They do sound pretty good but I would've rather bought some other headphones if I knew they were going to be really sensitive especially since I worked out with them most of the time.

They are small and somewhat sturdy.

Weird and an awkward shape to get use to. They only lasted me about four months. And started to show some wear and tear around the jack itself and around the actual headphone.

"Money lost on overpriced, inadequately built product."

I bought these on advice from a friend to use with my Iphone. The only thing I initially used them for was possibly three phone calls while driving. After starting my workout routine again after the winter of walking and listening to music on my...

If I had the ability to use the features advertised for this product I would probably be able to give a Pro. Unfortunately the most important features (use with Iphone & speakers themself) have failed after ten days of use.

After only 10 days use, the left ear bud speaker rattles in its casing. The music control button (back or forward) has stopped working. I take meticulous care of this product for it to fail as quickly as it did, and for the price.

"Great sound, poor quality"

If the wire quality were better, I would be a lifelong devotee even with a higher price tag, but as it stands I'm looking for others with comparable sound and comfort.

I have used Bose for about 5 years; I listen to music constantly and these are the most comfortable and best-sounding in-ears I have found.

In 5 years I have had to replace my headphones five times. The plastic sheathing on the wire cracks and splits very quickly at the junctures with other elements. The newer ones which I bought 9 months ago have cracks at the Y-junction and at the bast of
