Klipsch Image One

Earlier this year, Klipsch introduced the first set of on-ear headphones it has ever made. Having enjoyed several of Klipsch's in-ear headphone offerings in the past (we really liked the Image S4) we've been eager to give these full sized cans a go.

Powerful, punchy bass ; Zesty highs ; Comfortable ear pads ; Good sounding iPhone mic

Shrouded midrange ; Some pressure fatigue during extended wear

The Klipsch Image One will find a lot of fans in listeners who want a classy looking headphone that makes a bold sonic statement and works well with iDevices without draining their wallets.

Klipsch Image One

The $150 Image One is the first full-size, on-ear headphone from Klipsch. Its cushioned design is comfortable for short-term use, although we experienced mild discomfort over a long period of time. We're impressed by its ability to maintain a rich...

Lightweight on-ear design; earcups fold flat for easy storage; good isolation from external noise; works great with iPods; two-year warranty.

Potential for discomfort after extended use.

The Image One's bass outmuscles the competition and tight earcup seals hush external noise. With a closed-back design, a solid two-year warranty, and more lifelike sound details at half the price of competitive models, the affordable Klipsch Image One...

Klipsch Image ONE On-Ear Stereo Headphones Reviewed

The Klipsch Image ONE headphones is an over the ear design. While the Klipsch performs admirably, there are several drawbacks that may keep it from being the headphones you walk away with.

In an era of headphones that are designed to ; appeal more as a fashion statement than an aural one, it's nice to see that Klipsch has gone back to ; basics with their Image ONE headphones ; The Image ONE is lightweight, portable and comfortable for...

The Image ONE's lightweight ; design and portability comes at the expense of long-term comfort for the ; ear cups are too small and sit awkwardly on ones ears - at least this ; reviewer's ears ; When driven to play louder than what they're ; capable of...

At $149.99 the Image ONE from Klipsch has a lot going for it though it's far from perfect. If you're one to listen to well-recorded, perhaps self-ripped, digital music at moderate levels, then the Image ONE is going to be ideal for you. However if you...

"Good enough for mobile devices"

Good for mobile/MP3 devices, not recomended for "better quality" equipment.

The mic and volume controls are good for mobile devices.

They doesn't deliver very good with high end equipment. Some bass distortion, modulating on trebble.

"A decent pair of over/on ear headphones"

These are great set of headphones. I am used to in ears, but I decided to get these as in ears start to get to me a while after wearing them a lot. Like any headphone pair I have, they aren't loud enough on my iPod, and I like music loud to bring out...

Great sound quality

A bit large on smallest size (I have a small head, but they could have made the headphones smaller on the smallest size)

"Great headphones, even better price"

I looked at a lot of headphones, including beats. I had thought I might get a pair when the price cam down. Meanwhile, I came across this pair of Klipsch on sale for $99.00 at best buy. What a bargain - very happy with the sound and quality. Portable,...

Sound quality is excellent. Deep but not overpowering.bass, balanced with crisp highs.

Cups could be slightly bigger, but seem to fit my ears fine.

"Best headphones out there for the price!!!!"

I tried everything. Bose AE2's sounded to flat but very comfortable. Dr. Dre's were all base and looked like they would break in a second. These things sound and feel awesome. I don't write reviews but thought that this was needed. Do yourself a favor...

This set has just the right amount of base with out losing the mids and highs. Great for playing games on the ipad and with the volume controls as a bonus. They do a good job keeping sound out but a great job at keeping it from bothering others.

It takes a little bit to get used to the size of the ear pads. They smaller than the Bose AE2 and Dr. Dres but fit fine. They fit over my ears but I could see that they would be too small from some people. I easily wear them for hours though.

"Perfect for electronic music"

Love this headsets. My best headset to date within this pricerange. It always depends on the music you are listening to. It is totally not an analytic headset and has no active noise cancelling.

Perfect bass also at high volumes. Warm sound image. Detailed enough for a bass focused headset.

Design is not extremly cutting edge

Incredible customer service

The main issues I had with the headphones have been fixed with the new version of the headphones. The sound quality was already amazing and now they upgraded the materials that went into the headphone construction. $179 is a lot to pay for a pair of...

I had owned a pair of these headphones for almost 2 years and have had a very good experience with them. But then they broke. I contacted Klipsch customer service just to let them know my opinion on the headphones(i loved them but they had issues) they...

My original pair of headphones went bad in one side a couple weeks ago(so about 15 or 16 months after purchase). The cable for the headphones were prone to kinking and the ear pads though comfortable came apart very quickly. The new headphones they...
