Sennheiser CXC 700

Excellent audio performance, bass response. Quality active noise reduction. Outputs audio even when noise cancellation isn’t activated, with almost no difference in audio quality. Includes “Talk Through” option and three different noise reduction modes

Battery compartment is bulky/awkward. Uses triple-A battery instead of rechargeable option

Sennheiser makes earphones for the serious listener, and the CXC 700's audio performance and noise cancellation are both superb—but the design won’t suit everyone.

Sennheiser CXC 700

Meet the Sennheiser CXC 700s, a set of active noise-canceling in-ears that are probably best used on an airplane flight. While these headphones are not well-suited to use in the outdoors, or at a computer, the active noise cancellation unit employed by...

Comfortable for an in-ear model ; Decent isolators ; Good for airplane travel

Heavy, bulky, near-useless remote presents durability issues

Not bad, but the remote is simply a really poor addition to a headset.

Sennheiser CXC 700

Sennheiser CXC 700s are fairly good active cancelers.

Comfortable for an in-ear model; Decent isolators.; Good for airplane travel

Heavy, bulky, near-useless remote presents durability issues

All in all, the Sennheiser CXC 700s perform about as well as they should for headphones a little cheaper than they are. Normally a slightly inflated pricetag wouldn’t be such a horrible thing, but the user experience is downright awful because of the...

Sennheiser CXC 700 Noise Cancelling Earbuds Review

The perfect partner for long distance commuters.

Good noise cancellation abilities; Sound great with decent bass; Inflight adapter makes for superior listening in airplanes; Long lasting battery for NoiseGard

In-line remote is too low; Talk Through function is useless when using MP3 players or phones; Wires easily tangle into a mess

The in-line remote control has a small volume slider along with the button to activate the NoiseGard noise cancelling function. Additionally the remote also houses the “Talk Through” button as well as the “Mode” selection button to cycle through the...

Sennheiser CXC 700

Active noise cancellation headphones that try for high-end sound.

Decent noise cancellation, Plenty of detail

Chunky Battery housing, Sibilant tone, Expensive

Great bang for the buck

Bose are the standard for active noise cancellation. However these Sennheiser units achieve 85% the Bose performance at less than half the price.

the only earphones I had ever returned

These earphones have decent passive noise isolation, but the active noise cancellation is pretty weak, and varies a lot depending on fit. What's worse is the volume is pretty low, so you cannot hear music well in a noisy flight. I had to return mine...

Sennheiser, I am disappoint

First let me state that I love Sennheiser headphones. I have three pair: my original 414s from 30+ years ago, a 965 Ovations and pair of CX 475 earbuds. I am completely sold on Sennheiser, and am a long-time fan. Having said that, these headphones were...
