Denon AH-D600 Music Maniac

Denon's latest headphones are very expensive, but they're still an excellent choice for working at your desk, relaxing on the couch, or spending quality time with your tablet.

Great sound from the 50-millimeter nanofiber driver. Oversized, fully articulated earcups with pentagonal, stitched-leather pads offer supreme comfort and noise isolation. Cables detach, and you get two in the box: one 3-footer with the 3-button mic,...

They aren’t as bright as other audiophile headphones, which makes them seem less lively. Not enough clamping force to walking around — these ‘phones are for a-sittin’. You have to flip a lot of burgers to save up $500. Only a one-year warranty

Compete with professional headphones over $1000

It's amazing, powerful, and compete with professional headphone over $1000, But I wished Denon was more careful about its size. It's big and bulky and It doesn't have enough grip on small heads! It's my best purchase in 2012 (spent 6k on electronics)

Amazing sound quality, crisp and detail sound, powerful bass

It is big and has not enough grip on small heads

Denon AH-D600 Music Maniac headphones

Denon's audiophile headphones aren't for commuters, but they're great for discerning listeners

Strong bass ; Comfortable fit ; Sturdy build

Bass can be overpowering ; General cord complaints

Denon's AH-D600 headphones are aimed at discerning music listeners. They're not made for the trip to or from work -- they're definitely most at home when you're sitting still and paying attention to whatever you're listening to.

Denon AH-D600 headphones review

At £500, the Denon AH-D600 headphones are a massive financial commitment. The good news, however, is that we've had a sniff around online and you can already find them for about £300. While that's still not cheap, that's only a tiny sliver of cash more...

Stunning bass, lovely overall sound, comfortable, perfect for watching TV and movies

Headband a little loose on normal-sized head, devilishly expensive

Like angels singing in your ears, the Denon AH-600 are a beautiful listening experience. They are too expensive, and the bass can be outrageous, but we've comprehensively fallen in love with them

Denon AH-D600

Bass monster headphones that sound like they have inbuilt subwoofers.

Wide, clear sound ; Stand-out looks ; Available well below RRP

Too much bass

World-class headphones should really be largely genre-agnostic. The Denon AH-D600 headphones are not, but feed them the right content and they can sound well worth their money. They’ll make movies sound tremendously exciting and music that doesn’t rely...

Denon AH-D600

The Denon AH-D600 headphones are a versatile, good sounding set of of cans, and are solid investment for people serious about music.

Comfortable fit ; Good for home or mobile ; Solid sound

Poor Android functionality ; Pricey

At AU$599, they are on the upper-end of what people might be prepared to pay. But we think the versatility of use for both mobile and home audio, as well as the high-level of comfort and solid and broad sound range, they're capable of make it a...
