Sennheiser HD518 Headphones - Comfort Listening

Sennheiser launched three new HD headphone models in India a couple of months ago, of which the HD518 is the entry-level variant. These headphones hope to hold the door open for aspiring audiophiles to take a small step inside. Let's see if they are a...

The Sennheiser HD518s are priced at Rs. 6,490, which I would say is a little on the steep side considering they need burning in to be rid of the muddiness. A thousand or two lower and these would be an absolutely fantastic buy – but I’d still recommend...

Sennheiser HD 518

If you want noise cancelling qualities, do not get these. People can hear what you're listening to (and vice versa) if they sit nearby. However, this is the price you pay for the open ear design. They will beat noise cancelling headphones any day when...

Awesome highs and mids, accurate and responsive lows. I love the open ended ear design, it lets my ears breathe and helps acoustically just like it's more expensive cousins, HD 555 and HD 598 offer. These are definitely audiophile headphones

The 3.5mm/6.3mm adapter is way too large. Maybe a problem in certain situations

Audiophile Headphones at an affordable price

These headphones are very good for their price. They perform great at reproducing highs, mids, and lows. I really think they are great headphones.

High quality drivers, and a very well built construction based design. Clear Highs, and very enjoyable mids and lows. The soundstage is great. Detachable cable

The headphones leak, but that is how they get their great soundstage. The hinges feel a little flimsy, but the headphones are very durable. The headphone comes with a built in 1/4 adapter, with a 3.5 mm adapter, but is quite large, and might not fit...

Good headphones

These headphones sound great quality-wise. They don't block out their sound or the sound around you but I like them.

falls off head easily

I bought this headphone set for my 5 year old - recommended by the Dr. It falls off his little head, I had to purchase another model of sennheiser with smaller ear cups. Other than that, they are fantastic headphones.

Clear & classy sound

Sennheiser HD518 is an awesome headphones. It's made out of plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap, it's pretty solid. It produces clean and classy sound. Pretty suitable for Jazz, Classic, and Blues, but not for R&B or Hip-Hop. Since this is an open-ear...

Just amazing

These headphones are large and not noise canceling. They also can be heard loud by people around you. These headphones are not designed to do either of the above. They just deliver very clear and crisp sound. Best headphones I have owned.

excelent

These are a great introduction into the "Audiophile" range of headphones, and quite honestly, the best bang for the buck out there. The open-cup design allows for a crisp sound response and wonderful bass without being an echo chamber. Easily...
