Sony XBA-1iP headphones review

 

The kind of headphones that come boxed up with iPods and other devices are, in general, awful. They don't do their respective devices justice, leak audio, but more importantly they don't do your listening experience - or your eardrums - justice either.

Good sound isolation, various earbuds for more tailored fit

Proper seal can easily be lost when on the move, expensive, mid-heavy sound that can be tinny/crunchy, lack of low-end bass even when good seal is achieved

The XBA-1iP in-ear headphones have multiple earbud sizes for a tight fit and the sound isolation is impressive. But for £89 the sound is nothing special; there’s a lack of bass that lets mid-levels dominate and, therefore, the overall listening...
