Review: Jabra BT5010 Bluetooth Headset

Jabra offers Bluetooth headsets of all sizes, shapes and colors. One of their more unique headsets has to be the Jabra BT5010 ($39.95). Out of the box, this headset

Comfortable Wear, Unique Design, Good Call Volume

Performance: 1 (would be 4 without that beep), Comfort: 4, Value: 3, Difficult controls, Microphone picks up on background noises

When I first opened the BT5010 I thought the device's size would be the hardest thing to get used to. I was concerned that with the microphone boom extended, the headset's size would be off-balanced and uncomfortable. I was surprised to find out that...

Jabra BT5010 Bluetooth Headset

As a business user, phone calls are such a big part of my day that I always need a wireless headset to help me through it. Sadly, though most headsets

Great sound quality for both quiet and noisy environments ; Multipoint service allows you to control more than one mobile device ; Great comfort with curved ear hook design ; The ability to be used with a desk phone solution

Sliding the for calls is not optional ; Annoying sounds and static decrease call quality on occasion ; Boom is not spring assisted

After a week of testing, and after owning three Motorola headsets in the past, I must say Jabra has found a new customer. In the end, the best feature I found that doesn't compare to other solutions is the fact that I haven't needed to hold my phone ...

Jabra BT5010

These stylish Bluetooth headsets provide great wireless communication, with a tough-to-resist price

Not too good

I need better talking and hearing quality than this offers. I am returning it.

Easy pairing and initial operation

Too much static. There was static even when holding the phone in front of me, much less on the seat of my car. It is too easy to hang up a call with the sliding boom.

Whoops!! I accidentally hung up...

Jabra always makes a good product!

This is one of the better earpieces on the market. The person on the other end can hear me clearly, even when i can't hear them (see cons). It has an excellent battery life and the thing even vibrates (maybe sometimes too hard)

I can't get as far away from my phone as I can with my Jabra BT620s headset. In fact if I put the phone on the opposite side of my body I get a little static even though the person I'm talking to can't hear it. Also, it's really easy to hang up on...

Good, but with a few caveats...

Although Jabra advertises "more voice, less noise" (check out the graphic of the guy talking in a typhoon on their website), this headset is only slightly better than my freebie wired Plantronics earbud set when it come to wind noise. It's good at...

Great incoming sound quality - good volume and clarity, comfortable fit (when adjusted correctly), other party can hear clearly as well. Good noise rejection - but see comment below. Range is great - still had a good connection after leaving the phone...

Loose fit out-of-box... you need to work with it for a while to find a good fit. Connection delay is a little long, some callers think I hung up on them before I can answer. Sliding boom MUST be extended to talk - even if you answer using the...

Not bad, not perfect

Easy to use, comfortable, and ear piece is replaceable

The "connection" beep is very very annoying. It can be easy to hang up on someone with the boom. Without the boom extended reception is very weak

Good price for an excellent headset. It is rated as one of the better headsets out there as you can see here,

Great call quality. Voice activating option works very well and understood everything i said. Range is good, not the full 30"+ feet as promised. Noise canceling feature works really well, the person on the other end heard me crystal clear even with the...

The headset is kind of big for my tastes, if you have a small face this is not for you, it will look bulky on your face. The sliding boom feature feels too flimsy as if i were to answer a call quick it might slide right off. The buttons take a little...

Terrible experience

Received product and it was defective. Had tried numerous times to contact seller and no response. I advise everyone to be very careful with marketplace purchases..but purchases are great.
