Jaybird Gear BlueBuds X review: Impressively small Bluetooth sports earphones

JayBird Gear's BlueBuds X are the company's top-of-the-line Bluetooth wireless in-ear headphone model, and they're one of the better pairs of wireless sports headphones I've used. Outstanding? Well, that depends on how good a fit you get, but I have no...

The JayBird Gear BlueBuds X Bluetooth wireless earphones have a compact, lightweight design, fit securely, and sound good for Bluetooth headphones. They're also sweat-resistant and have an inline remote and microphone for making calls.

They're expensive and their cord management system is a little kludgy. Also, they may not fit everyone equally well -- and a tight seal is imperative for getting better sound quality.

The Jaybird BlueBuds X are impressively small wireless sports earphones that offer a secure fit -- but the $170 price just feels too high.

"Deeply flawed product but good sound"

I've been working my warranty through Best Buy with these headphones for about 2 years now. The process goes as follows: I (wisely) purchase the warranty through BB, these break every 3-6 months, and I return them for a new pair. Seems like a fair...

"Quality product"

I use these 5-6 times a week or 1-2 hours plus at a time. Sound quality is excellent for listening to tracks on Spotify for my workouts ( weight lifting and running). Just need to make sure the wing attachment on the earbuds are adjusted properly every...

"Great product that will breakdown on you"

HOWEVER, the BlueBuds WILL breakdown. I've replaced mine 3 times over the last 3 years. I think essentially the "sweat proof guarantee" by JayBird is basically they know that it will break but it's a good marketing ploy to say they "guarantee" it is...

"They work well, but support has some problems"

I thought I could get them a bit louder, but they can not go as loud as wired ear buds. That was ok, they are just loud enough with all volumes turned up. The battery life is OK, but I don't think it is 8 hours. I know that I only got caught with dead...

"Forget the haters."

I reaallly don't get the negative reviews for this product. Mine have been holding up great after months of heavy (and sweaty) use. I love that I can leave my phone in my gym bag and move through my workout without connectivity issues. Their customer...

Amazing range, amazing sound, and its sweatproof.

I haven't seen a downside yet.

"Dont Buy! They have broke on me numerous times."

I purchased these headphones for athletics from running to weight lifting. They have had nothing but problems. My first pair broke after 2 months of use and the replacement pair broke around 2 months as well. The green light when fully charged would...

Great sound. Works well when they work.

Go to summary.

"These are the earphones to get. And this is why.."

I don't like these harsh harsh reviews. Yes, they had defective units. I had the jf3s and one earpiece turned off exactly one year when the warranty ended. I got half my money back in store credit. My first pair of bluebuds the charge would last 5...

Light, sound fantastic, easy to use, they fit good, very stylish.

Fragile like their previous model the JF3. Some are defective, issues with sound quality. Battery may not last 8 hrs. Battery depletion anxiety syndrome, BDAS, or badass. I feel pretty badass wearing these.

"Not as advertised"

After months of irritation with my iPhone's stock earbuds, I decided to upgrade to a pair of bluetooth buds. My primary motivation was ridding myself of the pesky cord that was always getting caught on everything as I got on and off the subway. I did a...
