Jays q-Jays Review

Jays has really created a set of unique earphones in the q-Jays that feel almost hand-crafted for a specific set of user.

Jays has really created a set of unique earphones in the q-Jays. They feel almost hand-crafted for a specific set of user, which is fine. But at a price tag close to $200 we feel that there are some better models to choose from for the...

Jays q-JAYS IEM review – a second shot at excellence

Apple's forced demise of the 3.5 mm headphone jack has ironically brought headphones and earphones into the spotlight, with many wondering whether wired audio accessories are still worth their salt. Audiophiles and audio professionals will...

Premium build quality ; Firm, tight bass ; Excellent mid-range and treble ; Good Isolation

High treble peaks ; High price tag

While the q-Jays themselves can work with almost any audio source, Jays also offers different cables for different devices. The Audio-only cable will get you a simple, straight, no fuss cable. But you can also take your pick from iOS, Android, and even...

Jays q-JAYS Reference In-Ear Monitors Reviewed

Ever hear of Jays earphones? Me neither. But after meeting with the company at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest and trying out its new reference in-ear monitors, the q-JAYS (starting at $279), I decided that we should get better acquainted....

The q-JAYS are very well made ; The fit of the q-JAYS can be very comfortable with a little bit of effort ; The q-JAYS is easy to drive with a smartphone, which can't be said of every IEM in its class

It can be difficult to tell the right earphone from the left during initial assembly ; The cable is moderately microphonic ; The black, plastic travel case is easy to lose, due to its color and size

If you are looking for a well-designed, well-made, fine-sounding pair of universal fit in-ear monitors and your budget is under $300, the q-JAYS are a very attractive purchasing option.

JAYS q-Jays In-Ear Headphones Review

After having listened to JAYS' a-Jays Four and t-Jays Three and absolutely loving both, my expectations out of JAYS' top of the line q-Jays in-ear headphones are higher than ever and I couldn't be more thrilled to review them. The q-Jays are audiophile...

Overall the q-Jays will be the very best in-ears for the price surpassing even the more pricier headphones out there. Never underestimate the small nature of the q_jays as they pack a massive punch delivering life-like sound quality with all the right...

JAYS q-JAYS Dual Armature In-Ear Earphones Review

We present to you q-JAYS – the world's smallest in-ear headphones. Though small, the q-JAYS pack huge audiophile-grade sound. JAYS, a Swedish born headphone company, has managed to squeeze dual micro armatures and sound isolating technology into these...

Small, full of rich detail, natural sounding, noise cancelling, includes slew of accessories

Light on bass, short cord, cord extensions weighs down buds, carrying case is too small

q-JAYS are without a doubt an impressive set of earbuds. They are the smallest ear buds out there and yet manage to squeeze two micro-armatures in each bud and block out most ambient noise. The audio is very clear and extremely detailed. Both the black...

Jays Q-Jays Earphones

Q-jays features Today we are going to take a look at  a new set of earphones from Jays. Jays have been a leading earphone manufacturer for a few years now in Sweden and have started to also get a stand on markets all over the world. Todays review will...

Superb sound ; Comfortable ; Small ; Good accessories

Price ; Thin cord

I like these earphones, I have found nothing to complain about really except that they are a bit pricey and mainstream users wont pay 180$ for earphones.

Review: Jays q-JAYS Earphones

Clockwise from Bottom Left: Single-Driver Shure SE110 and V-moda Vibe Duo; Double-Driver Jays q-JAYS and Shure SE420 Following up on our earlier reviews of Shure's lowest-end model SE110 and a competing alternative, v-moda's Vibe Duo with...

So why the sharp difference in our ratings? The answers are simple: pricing and comfort. Except in the treble department, we'd call q-JAYS a slightly superior earphone to the ER-4P-it's smaller and has better bass at a lower price, unless you shop...

JAYS q-JAYS Review

JAYS, the company formerly known as "Jens of Sweden", lately shifted their focus from manufacturing well-designed audio players to equally classy looking in ear phones. After their relatively inexpensive j-JAYS and d-JAYS models they now launched their...

Great clarity and detail, balanced sound response, refined across the whole frequency spectrum, Decent bass for a dual armature IEM, High impedance, low sensitivity - prevents background hiss on most portable audio players, Very small, stealthy, and...

Very microphonic cables (unless worn over the ears), rather unfavorable cable lengths, Somewhat difficult to remove from the ear canals due to their tiny size, They can sound a bit too bright and fatiguing on some players (without proper EQing),...

Calling the q-JAYS the "Volvo of IEMs" would probably sound rude. Yes, they're Swedish, they're well built, and they perform nicely. However, while Volvo's design is debatable, the q-JAYS certainly are very pleasing to the eye, even to the most...

Jays q-Jays in-ear headphones

Jays q-Jays review: These in-ear headphones have excellent sound quality

Tiny size, excellent sound quality and detail, wide variety of included eartips

We don't like the cord length, changing the eartips is fiddly work

If you've got a bit of money to spend on some high quality in-ear headphones, we'd definitely consider the Jays q-Jays to be a strong contender. They're on par with high-end performers from audio specialists like Ultimate Ears and have excellent sound...
