JBL Synchros S100a

 

The JBL S100 earphones provide subwoofer-like low frequency response that should make bass lovers smile.

Powerful, distortion-free audio performance with deep bass response. Inline remote control and mic for either Android or iOS depending on model. Includes Comply foam ear tips for secure fit and passive noise reduction.

Not for purists or those seeking a crisp, bright sound signature.

If you prefer more balance in your earphones, you have plenty of options in this general price range. Consider the TDK EB950 or the Jay t-Jays Three. If you want to spend less money but still want booming low-end in your mix, the SOL Republic Relays...

JBL Synchros S100a

On tracks with powerful sub-bass content, like the Knife’s “Silent Shout,” the S100 delivers some serious low-end rumble without distorting even at top (and unsafe) listening levels. At more moderate volumes, the S100 still brings more booming low end...

Crackle and fuzz out of the box

 

The S200 seems to have replaced this, hoping they will have better QA standards.

They sound good when you sit perfectly still so the connector bad wiring doesn't cause crackling.

Long time fan of Harman Kardon and JBL and this is not the quality I am used to seeing.

I don't want people to rate these for not having them in their heads right. You know you're out there... Sign up for newegg email blasts, I'm pleased I did and snipe great deals like these.

Acquired during a weekend special for cheaper than you get them now, makes my mix tape hotter than the sun. Clear highs, deep bass, clean mids. Make sure to fit your tip cups right and get them in your ears right. I've been using Sennheiser:...

None yet. Haven't tried the set of (S/M/L) Comply™ foam tips yet, but will probably feel like little down pillows during a long work days.
