JVC HAFX1X Xtreme Xplosives

Sub-£20 earphones with "XX" bass and a loud look.

Powerful bass ; Low price

Large earpieces ; Artificial-sounding ; Poor mid-range

Inside the near-impenetrable blister-pack packaging, JVC supplies three sets of rubber tips in the standard small, medium and large sizes, and a basic carry case. At the price, you couldn’t ask for much more. The 1.2m cable ends in a simple straight...

In-ear earbud Noise "Isolation" JVC XX

I have bought about 10 pairs of these, not because I lose them, or they break, but to give as gifts.

These have the standard silicone ear bud covers, so you can buy replacements easily (They come with standard 3 sizes included) some folks I know have adapted foam ear plugs with holes so they can get an even better 'isolation' effect. These are fairly...

These are not a $100-$200 pair of ear buds, but I have to say, owning a pair of Sennheiser CXC 700 as well as Bose IE2 I think I understand the quality of dynamic range. I don;t care for my pair of Bose earbuds, the sound is great, but they do not fill...

decent ear phone

If you love bass, it's perfect for you. I listen to rock only, and want not have to have too much of bass (more on mid range and moderate bass). But that is only me.

Good sound quality

Too high bass

They died

I will most likely order another pair (when they are on sale)

In fairness i will keep my rating the same as I previously rated. These are an excellent pair of headphones. Carry case is cool too

So I bought these back in october 2012, they died today march 2014. I thought I bought them 2013 so i was going to warranty them, but, they were older. Shame

Absolutely the best value earbuds out there

The pros heavily outweigh the cons, and they definitely deserve a 5-star review. It'll be very hard to go wrong with these, unless you're expecting a $100 pair of earbuds for under $30. In that case, you might as well go look for magic lamp and start...

I read a couple reviews saying these were the best earbuds available under $30 and I agree. I was expecting them to be good, and I was still surprised by the quality. Granted, I've never owned a $100 pair of earbuds, but these are far and away the best...

They don't prevent you from spilling lemonade on them. I mean, really, come on. Get your act together ; If I have to nitpick a couple cons, I'd say they might be too bass-heavy for some people's tastes, and the cable is fairly microphonic

Very Happy

Very good sound and great bass. Sturdy design. Wont fall apart like my last cheapo pair I bought from the big box store clearance table

STATIC

Sound is ok

except for extremely annoying static. Thought it might go away with burn in, but after 2 months, the static is still there. It's especially bad when listening to podcasts. I can't use them anymore

Pretty nice..

I hope this is the last pair of in-ear phones that I buy. These are not 'straight' like normal ear buds, if you look at the picture carefully you will see the bud part is at an angle.. i didn't catch this. They are a little goofy , and I have to...

Awesome carry case.. Love the 4ft cord so i can put them in my pants pocket (by my knee) and have plenty of slack to my head. The sound is nice compared to my last set of earbuds. Comes with 2 more sets of different sized ear pieces

Well.. 'ultimate bass' may be exaggerated, as I listen to techno, and, i am definitely missing the bass. I dont feel the bass at all (whereas my other headphones, I can feel them move). Sound on high, sorta distorts, but given that I'll use them in a...
