Ultimate Ears 700

Ultimate Ears has been making in-ear monitors for professionalmusicians for nearly 15 years. The company was founded by Alex VanHalen and Jerry Harvey, a sound engineer for the band--a couple of dudeswho know what they're talking about when it comes to...

Light and comfortable to wear. Includes attenuator, which can counteract dramatic volume spikes

Sound tended to be a little too "bright." We would have preferred a metal carrying case

Ultimate Ears 700 aren't going to make any lists of budget-friendly earbuds, but for aficionados looking for an upgrade, think of them as the Diamond Dave to your current earbuds' Sammy Hagar.

I have oddly shaped ear holes. As a result, in-ear monitors and my listening tubes have simply never jibed, regardless of sleeve size or magical conforming

Exquisite sound reproduction in an insanely small package. Handy in-flight attenuator saves you from Captain Blowhard's eardrum-exploding announcements. Fuller, richer base and wider frequency response than previous UEs

Spendiferous. Cable noise will be distracting for joggers or anyone planning to use the headphones while exercising. Despite its redesign, the pocket case is still too small to fit all the accouterments

Review: Ultimate Ears 700 noise isolating earphones

Summary: I've been a dedicated Shure earphone user for a long time, despite all the good things I've heard about Ultimate Ears. But after using the Ultimate Ears 700 earphones for a few weeks, I can say this: I'm a believer. Enjoying a pair for in-ear...

Reviews: Ultimate Ears 700 Noise Isolating Earphones

Once known for its often Frankensteinesque large plastic earpieces, Ultimate Ears has spent the past couple of years designing smaller, sleeker earphones that use comparatively beautiful metals and metallic plastics, and the results have been...

Ultimate Ears 700's $230 MSRP-matched by even higher online pre-order prices-means that for the time being, even aggressive online shoppers will most likely wind up paying more for this model than q-JAYS, which is unfortunate: though our sonic...

OK I guess

I bought these to replace a set of ER6\'s that were damaged. The only reason being ER6\'s are no longer available...That said these are larger, heavier and do not stay in the ear nearly as well. I tried every possible silicon tip but they still slide...

Excellent earbudz

I've now had these for a few weeks. I also own Shure 215's, ue600's and superfi 10's. the 700's are exceptionally clear and accurate with no bias in response (like the 10's are). Small, light very comfortable. I now use these on international flights,...

Treble distorts at only moderate listening levels.

I had (and loved) a pair of UE Super.fi 5's from a few years back. They got broken through no fault of UE. As I searched for a replacement, I saw that the UE 700's were the contemporary 2 armature model by UE, and would be a logical replacement. I knew...

Underwhelming

These are pretty comfortable, but the sound didn't really set me on fire. I read the reviews so I purchased once there was a smoking deal on them. I wish I didn't. Don't expect a ton of bass or crystal clear highs.

Great sound quality at a good price

I use these to listen to music while I finish school work at a busy coffee shop and the noise cancellation works wonders. It seems to cancel out the hum of life but doesn\'t leave me deaf to someone standing next to me who wants to get my attention....
