A solid entry into the noise cancelling headphones space, Panasonic's RP-HC500s offer good value for money, although those willing to pay a premium should look towards high end IEMs for better sound quality.

The closed housing of Panasonic's RP-HC500 headphones blocks out a lot of outside noise, and the noise-cancellation circuitry does even more to eliminate low-level noise from sources such as computers, engines and air conditioners.

I was able to get these headphones almost for free from Qantas frequent flier miles. I am planning a couple of long trips and I find noise canceling headphones a great relief on a long flight. If money were no object, I might have bought the Bose, but...

Light, comfortable, nice carrying case.
