The Sound of Silence

Next time you venture outside the house, arm yourself with a pair of earphones made to ward off the insufferable sound pollution: Phiaton's PS 210 BTNC, a wireless noise-canceling headset.

Phiaton PS 210 BTNC

Phiaton is still a relatively new player in the earphone world, but they've impressed us in the recent past with models like the PS 20 NC which manages to combine strong audio performance with a reasonable price. This time around, the PS 210 BTNC is...

Streams audio and answers phone calls wirelessly via Bluetooth. Doesn't distort at top volumes. Decent active noise cancellation. Comfortable, secure fit

Bulky shirt clip isn't for everyone. Noise cancellation adds a slight hiss. Only charging USB cable, not charger, is included

The Phiaton PS 210 BTNC earphone pair combines laudable audio performance, decent noise cancellation, and wireless Bluetooth streaming in a relatively affordable package.

Phiaton PS 210 BTNC

We've been eagerly anticipating Phiaton's PS 210 BTNC headphones with baited breath ever since we first heard rumblings that such a product might be in development. We liked the PS 20 NC's solid sound quality and effective active noise-canceling and we...

Outstanding sound quality ; Versatile and well-featured ; Easy to setup and use ; Effective noise-canceling ; Long battery life ; Comfortable for long-term use

Visual design

The PS 210 BTNC is the best-sounding wireless earphone we’ve ever heard and, for that matter, one of the best earphones we’ve enjoyed in general.

Phiaton PS 210

The Phiaton PS 210 Sound Isolating Earphones aren't the best in terms of isolating noise, but they do provide top-notch clarity for the price. If you demand balanced audio, these are a good choice.

The Phiaton PS 210 earphones have a unique and stylish design, and they provide clear, balanced audio. The package includes a nice leather case

The Phiaton PS 210's odd-shaped earpieces may not fit everyone comfortably. Sound isolation is subpar compared with most other models that advertise this feature

Phiaton PS 210i

The Phiaton PS 210is are an entry-level set of in-ears that boast an unusual design and entry-level performance. There aren't too many bells and whistles attached to this set of headphones, but there is a rather odd-looking turbine on the back (will...

An extremely average set of in-ears.

Phiaton PS 210

We've enjoyed reviewing Phiaton's personal audio products in the past. They have a dedication to style and comfort that we think most headphone wearers really appreciate. So when the PS210 in-ear headphones came across our desk, we looked forward to...

Clean, open sound with solid bass ; Durable build quality ; Comfortable, secure fit ; Very High Value

Thin ultra-high frequencies ; High profile appearance ; Mediocre sound isolation

The PS210 are a uniquely comfortable and capable set of in-ear headphones. Both casual and serious listeners will appreciate what they have to offer.

Phiaton PS 210 BTNC Half In-Ear Headphones Review

Sonically, the Phiaton PS 210 BTNC stands up to many in-ear headphones of the same price that don't have noise cancelling and Bluetooth 3.0 as included features. Plus they work in passive mode.

Overall excellent Bluetooth and wired sonic performance ; Able to use even when battery is dead ; Central control unit means either headphone can be used for calls ; Long battery life

Unique design means might not fit all ears ; Bluetooth connection inconsistent ; Control unit clip weak ; Only USB charging out of box

The Phiaton BT Earphones are Amazing

The best sound I've heard on any Bluetooth Headphone, logical and intuitive design, lots of eartip options, clear and quiet phone calls, long battery life, comfortable and convenient, a fair price for what you get

Noise cancellation not as good as I'd expect. A rather flimsy clip

For the price, the build quality could be a bit better. The shirt clip seems a little flimsy and cheap and threatened to fall of my shirt once in awhile. Of course the closer the unit containing the mic is to your mouth the better the quality of the...

"Sadly they are noise enhancing rather than canceling."

For my purpose (traveling on planes) I might as well have bought a couple of cheap headphones instead.

None, as they didn't do what I bought them for.

I had bought them to cancel out some of the noise of the airplane. But they only enhanced, rather than canceled the noise of the engines. Turning them off blocked out more of the noise, but only because they are in-ear and thus keep out the sound.
