Phiaton PS 20 BT Review

We gave the Phiaton PS 20 BT headphones high marks for ambition and excellent sound quality, but we just can't offer our stamp of recommendation until there is a better selection of Bluetooth 3.0 compliant devices.

This review would have been a lot simpler were it restricted to evaluating the PS 20 BT’s sound quality and discussing the improvements that Bluetooth 3.0 have brought to the table. The fact is, the PS 20 BT sound excellent as a headphone in general...

Phiaton PS 20 NC

The Phiaton PS 20 NC ($149 MSRP) is a set of entry-level in-ears that won't break the bank, but won't blow you away, either. Boasting active noise cancellation, these headphones certainly don't lack in features, but issues with durability and...

Fair noise cancellation with an absolute minimum of distortion, the Phiaton PS 20 NCs aren’t a bad entry-level option.

Phiaton Primal PS 200 Review

Be aware that the price tag definitely outshines the strictly incremental increase in sound quality.

Phiaton PS 20 NC

Strong audio performance with pleasant low-frequency response. Can be used in passive (non-noise-canceling mode) without affecting sound. Better-than-average noise cancellation. No distortion at high volumes. Secure fit

Battery compartment on cable can be cumbersome. Uses non-rechargeable batteries

Phiaton PS 20 NC Earphones Are Quite Impressive

Well priced, comfortable, great sound, good looking, provides a degree of noise cancellation, plays even when the battery is dead, comes with an airplane adapter and a luxurious carry pouch

Missing the foam earpieces found on other models, noise cancellation could be better, the clip seems cheap

I surely do. Phiaton has done a commendable job of making an affordable, great sounding product that sells at a price that I haven't seen in the noise cancellation market. I believe that just about anyone will be happy with these comfortable and quite...

Phiaton PS 20 NC Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones (Playback 39)

Editor Chris Martens' recent coverage of custom-molded in-ear headphones (from Westone, JH Audio and Sensaphonics), you'll know that the level of noise reduction from in-ear headphones is not a given. To put it numerically, if the noise in the...

Phiaton PS 20 NC

A scientific, in-depth analysis with side-by-side comparisons

The Phiaton PS 20 NCs are certainly not a bad entry-level option. Their tracking is a bit off, and they’re not the most robust units, but they offer acceptable audio quality with decent active noise cancellation if you elect to use it. While they do...

Phiaton PS20 Earphones

Known mostly for their high-end earphones and headphones, Phiaton has been making headway into the international market more quickly than its budget-oriented parent brand, Cresyn. We have previously reviewed the Phiaton PS 320 portable headphones and...

Clear, refined, and transparent sound; well-weighted and punchy bass; immersive presentation

May be uncomfortable for those with smaller outer ears; mediocre passive noise isolation

The earphones score high marks for real-world usability as well – there are no oversights in the design aside from the size of the housings, which is a result of the large drivers chosen for the earphones, and the moderate isolation, which results from...

Phiaton PS 20 NC Headphones

Phiaton's PS 20 NC headphones can withstand multiple drops and offer a slew of bells and whistles, like a noise-canceling feature, airline adapter, and carrying case. However, consumer testers didn't find the headphones very comfortable to wear, and...

Phiaton PS 20 BT

Wireless Bluetooth earphones aimed at those who love audio.

Handy full remote ; Comfortable earpieces

Wired remote reduces wireless benefits ; Flabby bass ; Remote gets annoying ; Occasionally glitchy wireless

The Phiaton PS 20 BT wireless Bluetooth earphones are a strange mix of good and bad. They offer a remote housing both adds handy functionality and acts as a practical pain in the backside. And while they sound better than most Bluetooth earphones,...
