Noise Canceling???

DO NOT buy these headphones if noise canceling is a key feature to you. Neckband style takes some getting used to. I'm OK with it but my wife hates it.

Sound great with iPod Nano

Noise canceling feature is really lacking. Turning on the noise canceling feature does little more than make your audio source 10% louder. The inline box for the battery and electronics is cumbersone and especially annoying once you realize how little...

PHILIPS HN050 Circumaural Noise Canceling Headphone

I would rate these headphones as the best bang for your buck. Overall decent sound and noise reduction. Perfect for airplanes or the office. Comfortable for your ears and fit well behind the head

Noise reduction control is a bit bulky and requires a battery. No volume control on the headphones. Ears will get a little sore after hours of use. Cord is a little too short making them sometimes awkward

Shold've spent a few $$ more for a comfortable set of headphones

My wife bought me a pair of the Philips SBC HN050 headphones for my birthday a few years ago. I had been making do with earbud headphones or the $3 headphones that the airlines sell, but wanted to upgrade to noise cancelling headphones after trying out...

Adequate noise filtering capability and battery life

Worth $10

I wear these at work and they are very comfortable. The on-ear design does a good job of reducing noise. The active noise canceling doesn't add any more cancellation so I don't use it. I only paid $10, so it is worth what I paid.

Very comfortable and good sound

Active noise cancellation is non-existent

Best behind the head NC headphones I've owned

I've used these headphones on planes and @ my desk with my MP3 player; the noise canceling is excellent in either environment. On a plane the headphones do a fine job @ canceling any constant frequency of noise such as jet engine whine or the...

Behind the head, effective noise canceling with good bass boost for MP3

Long-term comfort, could have more padding on ear cups

If you're looking for a new pair of COMFORTABLE headphones, don't get these! The cord is too short, the soundbox is kind of annoying. Also: they are terribly uncomfortable. I have a medium sized head, I would say, and they hurt! After wearing them for...

Painful noise when switching soundbox to ON/OFF. Uncomfortable and unadjustable. Mediocre

Ever hear the expression "You Get What You Pay For?"

Someone recently reviewed a $300 pair of Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. Lucky them! I wish I had the money to buy them.

Sound is OK, but there is no noise cancellation...don't waste your time

Bought at Best Buy and they are going back ASAP. $49 for regular old crappy headphones? I tested them at home for about an hour with different background noises - noise canceling made absolutely no difference.....don't waste your time or $$ on these -...

Try another brand

I bought this product because I wanted a noise cancellation headphones for the office with my new iPod, and I was also attracted to the airplane plug. Yet I should have spent $4 extra for the Sony and saved myself a lot of headaches. The headphone is...
