I purchased these earphone when my Sony ear buds broke and i'm very glad I did, I'll never buy ear bud type ear phones again. The philips SHL9600 are so much better in every way possible, I can only compare them to what I have used in the past either...

I was looking for proper headphones to tempt me to part with my earbuds. I had grown tired of "poking" my ears. So I narrowed my list down to the 3 average-man brands - Senn, Sony and Philips. Senn was out, The 2 headphones that I tested at this price...

Worth the price, but wont last long.

The sound is stunning for such a low price, and the craftsmanship is top. The way they fold up is neat, yet sturdy. The problem are the wimpy cables and unnecessary volume adjuster that lasted only 6 months for me before they'd had it. Gonna start...

These headphones are, for the price, the best Iv'e come across for some time. They are comfortable on the ears and, the volume control is very responsive and acccurate. I would buy these again/
