Philips SHN5600 review

If you think that noise-cancelling headphones have to cost the Earth, then think again. Obviously you can get high-end models with price tags that go into the hundreds, but there are also plenty of reasonably priced options around, like these on-ear...

Affordable, lightweight, comforatable, in-line remote, decent audio

Mid-range could be better

Lightly built with limited effectiveness

I always wondered what noise cancelling meant. In the case of these modestly priced on-ear phones it seems to involve muffling fairly steady background noise. Switching noise cancelling on definitely made a difference, but only converted fairly steady...

For this price range they are spot on!

purchased for my wife as xmas present. Perfect size (not to big for her). Great sound quality and light and portable for use with Ipod.

Good Value

The headphones were an alternative to the Bose quiet comfort ones which are very expensive, at £60 these were very good value and after reading other reviews seemd to be a good choice. In terms of quality they are well made and do cut out aircraft...

Good noise cancelling

Works well; does job as promised; I had borrowed a JVC set before which are better and better packaged, but the JVC cost 50% more
