Plantronics Audio 550 DSP Headset

Everyone has heard the phrase, “Get your head in the game”. What's a better way to get into the game than by absorbing the sound and blocking outside noises? Can a Plantronics .Audio 550 DSP headset put your head into the game so that you can play the...

Bass at high volume ; No software CD

To wrap everything up, these headsets are absolutely wonderful when the bass is turned off. The bass sounds very bad when you turn the volume up near the max that the headset can achieve because it interferes with the sound and just sounds horrible. So...

Best I've ever heard

A lot more Cons then Pros, but for this price that's here now, GREAT DEAL

Great audio, I have never heard clearer audio. Seriously, its the best audio

I used to have trouble with the mic using Skype, and for a time the mute button was jammed on (that's right, no mic sound for a long time) and after that fixed itself, I often accidently pushed the mute button, ending up talking to myself till i...

Read Instructions

I have read other's reviews about the drivers issues and i'm sure in the little instruction sticker it said to install the software first then plug in the headphones when prompted. This eliminated all the window's drivers issues

Exellent sound (bass kicks ***). People can Finally hear me now clearly in BF2. Sound is clear. ProSono software is nice

Earpiece starts to annoy your ears after a while but this isn't that big of an issue. I also use glasses but unlike other reviewers it doesn't seem to change anything

Perfect VoIP headphones

I don't have a land line and use VoIP software such as Skype instead. Used to buy cheap headphones every few months, but got tired of fading speakers and screaming in the microphone. Problem solved, so far.

Excellent microphone, comfortable for long conversations (hours), excellent build quality

Might be somewhat less comfortable for users with larger ears. Won't fit in your pocket

Great sound

Sounds awsome everything is perfectly clear

Plantronics doesn't have any Vista support so you are on your own for software if you use vista

Nice alternative to expensive speaker systems

Some people are complaining because you can only adjust the volume through windows. I cranked it up all the way and it felt like my head was going to explode. I suppose this can be considered a limitation but anything louder would just be obscene.

Very functional, very clear sound. Everything is much more crisp in comparison with my current pc speakers. My friends on ventrillo say they can hear me as though ; I were in the same room as them. The actual microphone is very non-intrusive and you...

The plastic frame feels a little cheap. I'm worried that I might break them if I'm not careful. I also wish they fit a bit tighter

Great headset for a great price

I did a lot of research before buying these and am very happy with my choice. Compared to other headsets at similar (some even higher) prices, this one easily comes out on top.

Was worried about mic pickup at first, but it's great - it was able to pick up whispers 6 inches away from my mouth, recording was very clear even with fans/ac running near it. USB plug is a plus, and you can switch audio devices (e.g. to speakers) via...

Adjusting volume on the remote just adjusts your windows volume which means it couldn't go as loud as my other headset/speakers. If you switch audio devices (like to speakers) while in a game you end up losing sound altogether (in that game). A button...

Best Headset I've Owned

If you use a headset for internet chat programs get this one, I use several different programs, and everyone says that I sound much clearer now. I can hear the other people much better as well, they don't have that distant telephone sound anymore, but...

Asked for these for Christmas and got them. The sound is far better than any other headset I've ever used. I was getting bad hum and a low static with my analog ones, due to RF interference, but thanks to the USB interface and the DSP, there is NO...

Umm, ear pads are a bit tough at first, but even after the first day, they started to loosen, can't knock it for that, its just like a pair of shoes, gotta break em in

PLANTRONICS .Audio 550 USB Circumaural Ultimate Performance Headset

I have had these for a while now, i think over a year but not sure. They have stood up well. They are a high quality product and would by again if I had to.

These things sound great, both in games and listening to music. I was suprised at the full range of sound in this headset. I like the in line volume controller, it comes in handy. I don't use the mic much but when i have used it there were no problems
