Plantronics GameCom Commander

It could be a little more comfortable, but the Plantronics GameCom Commander is a top-of-the-line gaming headset with great sound and killer style.

Great sound ; Sensitive mic ; Superior build quality

Some discomfort ; Can get hot

If your gaming takes you on the road to LAN parties and events, then you will probably appreciate the sturdy construction and rugged carry case. Those who game at home certainly won't be disappointed by the sound but may find the GameCom Commander to...

Plantronics GameCom Commander Gaming Headset Review

Built for competitive gamers and fun-loving enthusiasts, can the Plantronics GameCom Commander Pro Gaming headset deliver the top-class performance that its ruthless target audience will demand?...

Excellent sound quality ; Very good Dolby 7.1 surround sound capabilities ; Strong microphone reception ; Sturdy design ; High-quality carry case

Uncomfortable for extended periods of time ; Ears can get warm quickly ; Expensive ; No fine-tuning components or software

KitGuru says: A good headset with strong audio performance and an immersive surround sound experience. Unfortunately, the comfort levels aren’t great and the price tag gives Plantronics’ GameCom Commander very stiff competition.

This headset could have been the best I've used but the heaviness plus the poor adjustment design make painful to wear for long periods of time. Aside from gaming I tried to use this at my job for taking voip calls and by the end of the day my ears hurt.

Solid, durable design. Coiled cable reduces tangles and easily accessible controls on the cable so you can quickly adjust the volume and mute/unmute the microphone without even having to look at the control switch. Extremely nice carrying case. Works...

Audio quality isn't as good for games as I would have hoped for and the virtual surround just merges the speakers which reduces the perception of sound direction and location. I really don't see how this could be considered a gaming headset as they...

After having these headphones for more than a year the right side just died and only one side works and seems to be somewhat common. Only giving 5 stars to warn people before buying.

Great sound quality, picks up every noise which makes it great for shooter games to get a edge over your opponent, and noise canceling, this head set also includes a variety of adapters to hook up to consoles not just for the pc

Headphones are a tight fit which can be a pro for better noise canceling, uncomfortable, and its popularity is misleading

PLANTRONICS GameCom Commander

i cant stress this enough how bad the head set is, i would rather recommend you guys buying a different brand such as Logitech, hyperXcloud, astro, razer, ozone, the Xbox and Ps3/4 Default head set, if you got the budget go for senheisser,Vmoda or Bosse...

Descent sound quality and really nothing special about it ; Descent sound isolation ; Descent sound leak

Un-comfortable ; USB mini driver is useless ; Size is too big ; its popularity is misleading

Great headphones for price

Awesome sound with the 7.1 surround. Nice feature with the mic lock

Tends to slid down your ears after long periods of use

Great mic and sound.

Keep in mind that the mic on this headset is stronger then the cheaper headsets and it will pick up every noise in the background even if you do spend hours trying to adjust the sensitivity.

The mic has an amazing clarity and quality with all sounds it picks up ; The sound is wonderful and crystal clear ; The package as a whole is a great side note to the headset itself with a beautiful case and multiple cords for whatever your needs

This headset does tend to start hurting your ears and your head after a short time ; The adjustable head/ear sliders on the sides do not hold any form of adjustment you make, they just keep sliding ; The in-line volume and mic mute are not that far...

Great purchase

Many of the other reviews say about how it is uncomfortable for their heads but it is just perfect on mine and I feel like it gets more comfortable with more use. Also I would 100% recommend this it is a lot of bang for it's cost.

Great headset ; Superb mic quality and amazing sound ; Nice and secure on my head

I haven't found any so far because the maximum size of the headset fully extended fits my head the best

Gamecomm Commander vs Gamecom 780

Between the two I would have to say the 780 is the far better buy due to comfort, sound quality/volume and noise cancelling quality of the mic. I have not used either headset in a high-volume location, so unsure if there is a standout in that...

The Commander and the 780 are about the same price point. I own both and am going to list the pros vs. cons between them ; Pros for Commander ; Great carrying case ; Debatably more stylish ; Extremely sensitive mic (note cons) ; USB and 3.5mm...

Commander cons ; NOT comfortable - they may break in haven't had the time with them yet. I have the tiniest ears ever and my ears DO fit inside the earcups, but they are currently very warm after only about 30 minutes wearing this set ; Surround sound...

Best Headphones

I can live with the extra weight to get the great sound. These were better sounding than my Bose set up I use for listening to music and with this discount you cannot go wrong.

Sound is superb, much better than the sennheizer HD 212 Pro they replaced. I tested the 7.1 UBS but found it OK but not as good as my SB card. Fit for me was very good and all adapters it came with fit all my needs. The case was a plus much more heavy...

The only con is the weight of these compared with my other pair of cans is more then double
