Plantronics X30 Xbox 360 Headset Review

Innovative, stylish, and sleek. Functional? Our Review.

Plantronics' X30 Xbox / Xbox 360 headset is a rather nice product. The innovative form factor is indeed very comfortable, and will allow for far longer Xbox Live sessions than any competitor. While the sound cancellation technology may result in...

Plantronics GameCom X30 for Xbox 360

In the previous iteration of the Xbox, arguably the best headset made for online communication came from Plantronics. Released in conjunction with Halo 2, the Halo Communicator was highly sought after and widely regarded as combining a comfortable...

Excellent performance, Very comfortable, attractive design ;

None to speak of ;

If you are currently looking for a headset or own an official one and are looking to upgrade, check out the GameCom X30. The price is fairly high but once you have used it we are confident that you won't be disappointed

Average overall with reasonable price onsale

I would not buy unless it's around $17. Everything is average for this product at this price range. Sometimes it does not sense your voice. You need to move the mic very close to your mouth. Once you able to fine the right position, it is solid. It's a...

Great for price

it might be a little uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to it you forget it's even there. I played for 8+ hours the other day with some friends and even after all that time it still felt comfortable. I haven't had any problem with other...

cheap, lightweight, small, decent sound, comfortable, still working just like new more than a year later

audio quality could be better, but it's good enough considering the price. Feels kind of flimsy but i haven't had any problems with durability

Go another route..

I've had this headset for at least 18 months now. The chat sound quality is great and from what I'm told the voice quality the mic broadcasts is great too. The mic boom spins so you can wear it in your left or right ear

This ear piece is a pain, literally. If you play for more than an hour or 2 at a time you have to take this out of your ear. It literally hurts. The earpiece is oval shaped but not in a such a way that it sits correctly in your ear. It's wide from...

Good for the price

A great option if your looking for a cheaper headset, just be ready for some initial uncomfortablility.

This device worked fine for me for just over 2 years before the mic finally gave out. I paid just under $20 for it at the time and I was quite satisfied. The earbud was a bit uncomfortable at first, and again when the rubber came off after my dog...

A bit annoying at first, takes some getting used to

No problems

I've had this for about 2 years now and easily the best fitting and best clarity of any

I've not had any problems with it. RE the other comments, it is lightweight so if you are moving, it the mic will move away from you, but it does have a shirt clip which is meant to prevent that. Any similar headset like you would find in a call center...

Big Mistake

If you tape the mic to your face you can keep it in place. Maybe they should include tape in the package. Shame on newegg for selling this product.

I'm having a hard time thinking of any

The head set does not stay in place. Any slight movement makes the mic move away from your head and nobody can hear you. It also has a high frequency ring when the volume is turned up all the way. I have tried several headsets over the last three years...

Eh, it's okay...

If you wear a beanie hay that helps keep it close to your mouth, so people can hear you. It's defintely better than the headset that comes with the xbox. If you don't mind talking loud I would get this one. I'm looking for something that pics up my...

It's pretty comfortable. I usually play a few hours a day, but on weekends I play a good 4-6 hours a night. After 8+ hours it does start to bug you, but I think anything in your ear for that long would lol

If it's not really close to your mouth, you will have to speak loud for people to hear you
