Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma review

Razer's 7.1 headset gives you the gaming edge for cheap

Confident design ; Great customization options ; Durable build construct ; PS4, Mac, PC compatibility

Uncomfortable after extended use ; Just a tad too expensive

It's a gaming headset that isn't super expensive, but looks cool and sounds incredible. Aside from a few minor complaints, the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma delivers on all fronts.

Good sound - in one ear.

Yes. I would recommend against buying a refurbished unit though if you can avoid it.

Sound quality good, noise cancellation good. Good amounts of bass for my refurbished unit.

I ended up having to configure it to have 80% 20% in left/right ear as there was something askew with the sound. The left ear was terribly quieter, possibly a defect. it works with the afore-mentioned 80%/20% setup so it's not unworkable.

Comes with a braided chord, and any clothing the chord touches, the sound echos in the left ear coupling. My wife likes how comfortable the headset feels on her head and on her ears. So i recommend the product on her part. But if you have a bigger...

Lighter then most headsets. Nice head cushion. Really nice surround sound. Nice long chord. Price is not so bad. Couplings fold inward for better storage.

Bigger head people may find the ear couplings a bit uncomfortable after a few hours. Ears will start to hurt just from wearing it. Need Razer Snyapse to configure the surround sound at first. Razer Snyapse breaks lots of games, making you have to...
