I opened this up and pulled out the cord. First of all, there is no way the earbuds can reach my ears...the cord between the buds is too small. I tried out the retracting feature and the cord immediately started pushing out of the cord holder and...

These are junk! Poor design, fall out of my ears, ill-fitting, distant sound with no base, distorted and mine also got tangled on the retractable spool. I can't even say i'd use them for a cheap back-up.
