Great Portable Lightweight Headphones

I needed a replacement pair of mid-size headphones in addition to my in-ear headphones. I saw these advertised and having a positive similar experience with Sennhieser headphones I decided to give them a try. First I wanted a comfortable pair of...

Good Sound for a Lightweight Headphone

Warm sound with good base response. A good lightweight headphone if you can get it at a bargain price, as it\'s not worth the list price.

Great little headphones with big sound.

I am a legally blind man over 50. I use these Sennheiser headphones to listen to my audio books. I get a clean crisp sound with plenty of bass. They are comfortable enough to wear for long periods, which is a plus when it comes to listening to audio...

Sennhesier does it again!

I wanted some over-the-ears headphones as a option to my earbuds, and I am happy with the Sennheiser HD 228 as my choice. Very comfortable, good sound and just enough bass boost for my taste. A great buy for the money!

Good sound

These phones provide clearity to sound sources that are otherwise a bit garbeled. Plus good bass.

some shortcomings

I use these headphones on the subway on my way to school. No problems there. Isolation is good and sound is great. They look stylish and are extremely comfortable. You won't even feel them on your head. There are flimsy, however. People who tend to...

Quite good

I bought a pair of these, and a pair of HD238s after accidentally destroying my PX100s on a flight. The HD238s are a little brighter, and have a little less bass than the HD228s, but I planned to use the HD228s (because of the closed back design) at...

Outstanding bass response (unlike the PX200), excellent music reproduction

Not as bright as the Sennheiser HD238, or PX100

Good entry level headphones

I use it with my computer without an amp using ordinary DirectSound output via Foobar2000. Haven't burned in the drivers fully, but am satisfied with the current sound. The build quality feels cheap and plastic, but the sound quality redeems it...

SENNHEISER HD228 3.5mm Connector Supra-aural Stereo Headphone

I can't say much about Sennheiser's other products. I guess I just figured you couldn't go wrong with a German-made product and Sennheiser had been recommended by an acquaintance, but these are the absolute worst pair of earphones I have ever owned....

One of the reasons I invested in these headphones was because they're not half as hideous as many of the other choices out there

I tend to wear headphones because I want to keep my music to myself when I ride public transportation or suffer through a fourteen-hour trans-Pacific flight. These headphones are louder than my speakers when attached to a computer and nearly inaudible...
