Sennheiser HD 25 Aluminum

The Sennheiser HD 25 Aluminum is a well-designed, high-performing pair of DJ-friendly headphones.

Excellent audio performance, with well-defined bass response and articulate mids and highs. Comfortable over long listening periods, with an ideal design for DJ use. Removable cable

Light on accessories—an extra cable with phone controls would've made this a more versatile purchase

The Sennheiser HD 25 Aluminum is a 25th anniversary edition of the original HD 25 headphones that, like many of the company's professional headphone pairs, have become a staple in the DJ and pro-audio world. Priced at $329.95 (list), the HD 25 Aluminum...

Sennheiser HD 25-1-II

The Sennheiser HD 25-1-IIs ($359.95 MSRP) are an entry-level pair of “DJ style headphones” which are better suited for “not things that a DJ might do with a mixing board.” Despite their decent audio quality, they have some problems with distortion and...

Decent, but very expensive for what you get.

Sennheiser HD 25-1-II

A scientific, in-depth analysis with side-by-side comparisons

The Sennheiser HD 25-1-II are a set of mid-range headphones that will entice buyers with style, and not a whole lot else. While they do manage a fair frequency response, their distortion problems and their odd underemphasis in the 6-8kHz range make for...

Sennheiser HD 25-1-II Headphones

Not the cheapest on the block but you do get what you pay for.

Nice spectrum. A very good mix of everything

Out of the box this item did take a little to get used to but we warmed up after a week of use. I have a small head compared to most males. The smallest setting fit me but if you have a larger then normal head they should still fit but you may have...

Sennheiser HD 25-1

Sennheiser's HD25-1 is perhaps a one of a kind headphone, with no other manufacturer offering anything similar to what the HD25-1 has.

NO GOOD: Small soundstage.

I had high hopes for these headphones, I've had them about a week and am very disappointed with them, and am returning them today. They look and feel very cheap. i love this brand so was very surprised by how awful they were.

A great, versatile headphone.

After an fairly thorough checking-out of the "portable listening" headphones currently on offer (none of which I was too crazy about), the guy at the Headphones counter at J&R handed me a pair of these Sennheisers to try. It figures that the best set...

Product Specifications

Just like cars, some headphones are built for performance, some for looks and some for durability. If you need a pair of 'phones for rugged outdoor use or if you're outfitting a crew of reckless musicians, the HD 25-SPs would be worth considering. The HD 25-SPs are made from very solid, thick plastic. They're designed for durability, but are also very comfortable because the leatherette earcups swivel freely on the headband. The completely modular design is probably these headphones' strongest selling point. The cord, earcups and headband can all be removed and replaced if broken. The HD 25-SPs' 1/4-inch adapter comes in handy when hooking up to home stereo systems, and the long cord lets you lean back on the couch while plugged into a receiver.
